Amarrien Bailey, Terry, 2024
Bailey has been known as a very vicious linebacker in the Jackson Metropolitan Area. He was able to showcase that Wednesday. Bailey was very impressive during his drills. He has done a lot of improving over this past offseason. Bailey is moving a lot better. He is showing that he is going to be able to play a hybrid linebacker position on the next level. He picked up an offer from Jackson State while attending this camp.
Christopher Jones Christopher Jones 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB Hartfield Academy | 2024 State MS , Hartfield Academy, 2024
Jones has been on fire this offseason. He showed up doing his thing again in the Mississippi Delta Wednesday. Jones was moving around well in his drills. Jones is going to be a division one linebacker. He is working very hard to steady raise his stock. He did a good job during the one-on-one session of this camp also. Jones has a busy camp schedule this summer. I’m quite sure we will be mentioning his name again soon.
Jahmani Washington Jahmani Washington 6'2" | 195 lbs | LB Grenada | 2025 State MS , Grenada, 2025
Washington wasn’t far from home representing for his hometown. The Charger had a lot of energy that he brought from Grenada County. Washington has been raising his stock this offseason. He is continuing to improve his movements. He also is constantly doing a good job during one-on-one sessions. Washington is a guy that can play inside or outside linebacker. His growth will probably determine which one of those positions he will play on the next level.
Tayquonn McKinney, Louisville, 2025
McKinney worked out with the defensive linemen today, but I think that he is an outside linebacker. I think he will grow to be around 6-foot-2. He is very athletic and can move very well. He plays defensive end for his team to help his squad. However, I think linebacker is his true position. Today he was able to show that he can be a guy that can blitz from the edge every now and again. McKinney also can step back and read keys. He has the ability to be helpful in coverage as well.
Detrick Munford Detrick Munford 6'3" | 225 lbs | DL Amanda Elzy | 2024 State MS , Amanda Elzy, 2024
Munford is another guy that worked out with the linemen who is going to be a linebacker on the next level. Munford does a great job of putting pressure on the quarterback. With the right training, he can learn to be a linebacker. Munford has great movements in his hips. There will be some things that he needs to get used to at linebacker. He definitely has the potential to play an outside position.
Taurean Davis Taurean Davis 6'2" | 220 lbs | LB Desoto Central | 2024 State MS , DeSoto Central, 2024
Davis came out there looking very polished. He is built like a machine. Davis knows how to get after the football. He was showing off how much he has improved in coverage. Davis has several division one offers. I’m anxious to see where he plans on going.
