Cameron Hackworth Cameron Hackworth 5'9" | 160 lbs | QB Sabino | 2024 State AZ , Sabino ’24
Along with tossing 2,720 yards and 31 TD’s, Hackworth also accounted for 598 yards and 8 TD’s on the ground. Hackworth displays a really good initial burst when he decides to take off, and possesses good top end speed with COD for true big play ability. A very tough kid to contain because if you bring too much pressure, he’ll get the ball out quick with his self clock and release timing, but if you play off man, he’ll take advantage of that cushion and bolt for good chunks of yards which turn into big plays. After already putting up big numbers in 2022, I think he’s prone for another breakout season and is checking all the boxes to draw in some much deserved interest.
Zechariah Owens Zechariah Owens 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB Glendale | 2024 State AZ , Glendale ’24
Owens is a legit threat in the run game, rushing for 826 yards and 7 TD’s. Really good frame and length as he sizes up at 6’3″ 180lbs with room to add mass without sacrificing athleticism. He does a great job extending plays and finding receivers downfield, or knowing when to tuck it and go to pick up easy chunks of yards. A part of him game that is so threatening is that he often draws defenses up as soon as he escapes the pocket due to the fear of him taking off, which leaves easy open targets downfield. Expecting a huge senior campaign from Owens.
Rowan McKenzie Rowan McKenzie 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB Boulder Creek | 2024 AZ , Boulder Creek ’24
McKenzie did most of his his damage with his arm last season, but his ability to make extend and make plays on his feet is wildly underrated. A definite escape artist that doesn’t get enough credit for what he can do on the ground given his “pass first” mentality that he displays, but he continued to show flashes to pick up yards when the pocket broke down. He displays a nice burst upfield as soon as he decides to get vertical with deceptive speed. A very impressive QB that is deserving of that 1st offer.
Nash Brewer Nash Brewer 6'0" | 175 lbs | QB Show Low | 2024 State AZ , Show Low ’24
Brewer had himself a huge Jr. season by rushing for 848 yards and 16 TD’s. Don’t be fooled by his size and his school size, as Brewer is a true competitor and legit gamer for Show Low. He does a great job selling PA so well that he’ll have the option to let in fly deep from drawing those safeties up with PA, or take the easy yards on the outside if he wants to pull it down. Good speed in the second level to finish off big runs and he also isn’t afraid to put his shoulder down through contact if needed. A very good athlete all across the board that is very underrated as he heads into his senior year.
