The Head Coaches notes are a reference to where each recruit is standing within their recruitment during the spring evaluation period and heading into College Summer Camp season.
Loomis Chaffee has a long history of outstanding football. Whether you are a novice, seasoned veteran, or a post-graduate, there is a place for any student athlete in their program. The varsity team has a nine-game schedule as part of the Nepsac Founders League that follows preseason camp, and the junior varsity team plays a seven-game schedule. There is no need to have had a lifetime of play to participate. They are committed to developing a strong program, and their coaches use identical approaches in every level of the program, allowing players to move between teams. Loomis football players are committed to excellence in academics and athletics. Student athletes are encouraged to participate in other sports during the off-season, and most are multi-sport athletes. This is part 1 of a 2-part series.

Head Coach Notes/Analysis: Jashawn is an outstanding prospect at the inside linebacker position. He was a 2-way player at Montgomery Academy showing a great deal of athleticism and position flexibility. He’s an incredibly physical defender with a great football IQ. His PG year will no doubt allow him to continue to showcase his ability. He has already made great connections with the players at Loomis Chaffee and looks to make an impact on and off the field next school year. At Montgomery Academy Jashawn was 2x 1st team All State; 3A back of the year finalist; 4A lineman of the year finalist; 3x 1st team All Capitol City Conference. Brother, Jamal, is currently a rising sophomore DB at Dartmouth College so Jashawn is no stranger to New England.

Head Coach Notes/Analysis: Jake comes to Loomis to fill the QB position for the 2023 team. A dual threat QB, Jake is always a weapon with the ball in his hands. A serious running threat, Jake also possesses the arm strength and accuracy to distribute the ball. On the camp circuit this summer Jake will work out at multiple positions, QB, WR, DB. A Massachusetts Native, Jake spent the 2022 season at Windemere Prep in Florida where he helped his team to a 6-3 overall record and was named to the All-District team.

Head Coach Notes/Analysis: Thades is the lynchpin to a very strong Offensive Line group returning to Loomis Chaffee. A 2-year returning starter, he has helped to anchor the left side of the OL. With flexibility from Center to Tackle, Thades is a jack of all trades up front. This summer will prove to be huge for him as he takes to the camp trail. His body competition, foot speed, and skill development has taken off and will be on full display this summer. A strong student, Crump will have the opportunity to entertain some of the top Colleges. Coming off of an All-Founders League Junior season expect big things from him in the fall.

Head Coach Notes/Analysis: Danny comes to Loomis after player only one year of football for Xaverian Brothers in Massachusetts. Still learning the position, Danny is a natural pass catcher, route runner, and willing blocker. He is sure to be a complete player at Loomis displaying his physicality in the run game while presenting a matchup issue on the perimeter. Danny entertained a few PWO opportunities (Pitt, BC) after his Senior year but has used a strong Spring showcase season to gain some momentum in his recruiting. His summer will be busy as he will get out to a number of ACC, BIG10 and SEC camps while visiting a number of schools in the process.

Head Coach Notes/Analysis: Anthony is coming off a great Junior year and Spring evaluation period. He possesses great length, strength and athleticism that was on full display during various showcase events. Having only been in the US for two seasons, Anthony has continued to build on his skill set and knowledge. A very strong student, Anthony should have his pick of high academic schools if his performance continues to rise. His Gridiron Imports camp tour in early June should pay dividends as he is currently playing his best football.

Mack Seelert
Class of 2024 – PostgraduateRecruiting Interest: Fordham, Georgetown, Holy Cross, Merrimack, Columbia, Amherst, Bates, Ithaca
Offers: Open
Head Coach Notes/Analysis: Mack comes to Loomis after an injury shorted Senior year at New Canaan high school where he battled back late in the season to help Rams win a 2022 CT State Championship. Seelert is an extremely polished route runner and attacks the football in the air. During the Spring evaluation period, Mack was able to show that he is still the player he was pre-injury and looks to continue to turn heads during his summer camps. A natural leader with a championship pedigree, Seelert will certainly be a great addition to Loomis Chaffee football.
