Rodriguez has packed on tons of good weight this off-season and has had one of the more productive springs or any regional defender. He has recently picked up offers from Arizona Christian and Pacific University and the D-II+ schools should continue to show interest and offer the 2024 linebacker. Through the Spring, he has shown he can move well for the inside backer position and his productivity and pass rush abilities make him one of the top defenders across Idaho heading into the 2023 season.
Mikita took home MVP Honors at the showcase, and has recently picked up an offer from Montana Tech. He checks in as our number two linebacker in our PRZ rankings and is a big time hitter from the second level with plus athleticism in space/fluidity in coverage and when flowing over the top. Playing on what should be a stout front seven for Eagle in 2023, Mikita should continue to draw FCS interest as he moves through his final season.
Highlights
Callen is one of the fastest rising players in the state, and has dominated camps and showcases he has attended so far this spring and summer. He recently picked up offers from NAU and Portland State, and also took home WR MVP Honors at the Gem State Showcase but can play on either side of the ball. He has elite speed, ball skills and fluid hips in space while showing a very high football IQ, especially for his age. A do it all athlete for Highland, he is one of the better two-way players across Idaho.
Jacobsen has some really nice upside due to his length and ability to cover in space, while not afraid to trigger into the box and play the run. He has shown his talents at multiple stops this off-season and will be a big time get for any college program next recruiting cycle. Only a rising Junior, he could develop into a strong safety/outside linebacker as he continues to grow and pack on more weight.
Highlights
Byaundaombe has quietly been having himself a very nice off-season and took home DB MVP-Honors at the Gem State Showcase. He is a very smooth athlete that is quick twitched and can cover both in press man and off coverage while understanding responsibilities and has good field awareness. Also the number one triple jumper in the state of Idaho, he recently picked up an offer from Carroll College after competing at the showcase.
