Quinton’s great play in 2022 helped the Taft Senators to an 11-win season where they advanced to the 4th round of the playoffs and held opposing offenses to 7.9 points per game. He plays as a CB. Against the pass, he is patient with his hands and matches the feet of the XWR before using his good play speed to stay in phase with the XWR. He locates the ball and tracks it in the air before exhibiting great hands as he high points the ball showing good hands as he comes down with the interception. Against the run, he shows solid play strength as he disengages from the WR, shows good closing speed in pursuit before getting low and delivers a big hit behind the LOS for a TFL.
Toto’s excellent play in 2022 helped the Milford Eagles to a 9-win season where they advanced to the 2nd round of the playoffs. He plays as a SS. Against the pass, he does a good job in off-man of keeping his man in front of him while reading the QB. He locates the ball quickly and times his hands well as he disrupts the trajectory of the ball for a PBU. Against the run, he displays good football intelligence as he quickly keys and diagnoses the play. Uses his good length and physical toughness to defeat the block from the slot WR before making the tackle preventing a gain of significant yardage.
Ja’ontay’s awesome play in 2022 helped the Mansfield Senior Tygers to a 10-win season where they advanced to the 3rd round of the playoffs and held opposing offenses to 13 points per game. He plays as a CB. Against the pass, he displays good play strength as he jams the WR and uses his solid athletic ability to keep his man at arm’s length. He shows good range when the ball is in the air and he is very proficient at getting his hand in the way to create the PBU. Against the run, he quickly reads run/pass, plays at a good pad level before wrapping up and making the tackle preventing a potential touchdown.
Highlights
Jace’s great play in 2022 was a bright spot in the 5-6 season of the Groveport Madison Cruisers where they held opposing offenses to 13.5 points per game. He plays as a SS. Against the run, he is quick to key and diagnose the play, shows good instincts taking good angles in pursuit before exhibiting very good play strength as he makes the tackle. He displays good mental toughness as he elevates his play in the redzone. Against the pass, he does a good job of reading the QB and quickly locates the ball in the air. He arrives at the second the WR touches the ball and effectively uses his hands to create the PBU.
Andrew’s very good play was a bright spot in the 5-7 season of the Westerville Central Warhawks where they advanced to the 2nd round of the playoffs. He plays as a FS. Against the run, he displays very good play speed, range and instincts in pursuit before exhibiting good explosiveness as he makes a big hit behind the LOS for a TFL. Against the pass, he patrols his zone while reading the QB, accelerates quickly to the ball and delivers a big hit to the WR as soon as he touches the ball causing him to drop the pass and preventing a first down.
