Head Coach Brian Wright and the Gorilla coaching staff hosted a three-hour positional camp at Pittsburg State's Robert W. Plaster Center on June 15.

The more than 100 campers were timed in the “Forty,” ran through four agility stations, and competed in positional drills.

More than 65 Kansas football players attended the camp at Division II powerhouse Pitt State.

Prep Redzone scouted the event and will feature multiple scouting reports on Sunflower State athletes who showed off their skills in southeast Kansas.

Here are five Prep Redzone-ranked athletes from the Class of 2024 that impressed during the camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='145519' first='Branton' last='DeWeese'], QB, 6'0”, 185, Washburn Rural

DeWeese looked comfortable throwing the football during the Pitt State Camp. He has an accurate arm and can throw deep. His recruiting should be interesting to watch. I project that he will get offers from FCS programs and multiple in-state Division II schools will keep an eye on him. DeWeese is currently ranked No. 46 in the Class of 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='415303' first='Jayce' last='Glasper'], QB, 6'2”, 185, Wichita Northwest

Ranked just two spots below DeWeese is Wichita Northwest quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='415303' first='Jayce' last='Glasper'] at spot No. 48. Glasper seemed to be enjoying himself on the indoor surfaces. He has an extra giddy-up in his step all day and threw well during the throwing drills. I look forward to seeing more of Glasper in action as I plan on attending a 7v7 event at Wichita Northwest next week.

[player_tooltip player_id='414948' first='Hank' last='Fuchs'], OL, 6'3”, 275, Lawrence Free State

Fuchs is a sneaky squatty guard who can get out and pull. He has solid footwork and gets off the line well. He was not intimidated by his surroundings or by bigger players from other states at the Pitt State Camp. Fuchs is currently ranked No. 108 among his Class of 2024 peers in Kansas.

[player_tooltip player_id='826366' first='Isaiah' last='Kincade'], ATH, 6'1”, 190, Topeka High

Kincade made the trip from Topeka to Pittsburg as a walk-up participant. He looked really smooth in the four agility stations run by the Gorilla coaching staff. He is a fast physical specimen. The question is what position will he play for High in 2023 and at what positions will college coaches consider utilizing him at? Kincade is currently ranked No. 133 in the Class of 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='826372' first='Braeden' last='Gorby'], LS/C, 6'1”, 215, Olathe Northwest

Gorby is an interesting prospect. He specializes as a long snapper and what better camp to show off skills than at Pittsburg State the school in which NFL long-snapper Kendall Gammon applied his trade. Gorby is a tough-nosed kid who can also play center and captain an offensive line. The Olathe Northwest prospect is currently ranked No. 207 by Prep Redzone Kansas. The fact that Gorby traveled to Pittsburg just to be able to show off his athletic and snapping skills shows his dedication and respect for the recruitment process.
