Ottawa University hosted a Mega Camp on June 3. More than 125 athletes competed and more than a dozen college coaches were in attendance.

The vast majority of participants represented the Class of 2024 and are headed into their senior seasons. Football players from as far as Wisconsin, Maryland, and Oregon attended the one-day event.

Signing Day Sports conducted verified skill tests during the morning sessions, while the Ottawa Braves coaching staff ran positional drills in the afternoon.

Prep Redzone Kansas attended the camp and focused on the Kansas Athletes who attended. Sunflower State athletes accounted for more than 60 of the total participants.

Here is a look at five players from the Class of 2024 who caught scouts' and coaches' eyes during the event.

Spencer Easley, DE, 6'2”, 220, Gardner Edgerton

During the registration process, Easley was easily noticeable. He looks like a football player before he even put on the pads. He is a disciplined defense lineman who can pass rush and still keep contain when needed. His combination of size and speed is what will make him a beast at the next level.

Max Nichols, DE, 6'5”, 225, Gardner-Edgerton

Easley was not the only Gardner-Edgerton prospect who was impressive at the Mega Camp. Nichols has good speed and can get to the quarterback. He knows how to get leverage against blockers and can use both power and speed to get to the quarterback.

[player_tooltip player_id='262758' first='Jalen' last='Massey'], RB, 5'9”, 165, Lyndon

Massey is a very agile running back who did not have to travel far to get to Ottawa. The Lyndon Tiger prospect is quick and shifty. He can run the ball well and can catch the ball out of the backfield. Massey rushed for 991 yards and 16 touchdowns during his junior season.

Joshua Grimm, OT, 6'6”, 315, Sabetha

Grimm is another big young man who caught my eye right away. He has a good first step and initiates contact well. He can block in the passing game or running game effectively. He has offers from two NAIA schools in Kansas and may have earned himself a couple more at Ottawa's camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='1107801' first='Grady' last='Noll'], ATH, 5'6”, 170, Jefferson County North

Multiple college coaches were talking about Noll's skills during the camp. He is quick and was impressive during the shuttle. He can play multiple positions based on program needs and could contribute right away to special teams.
