This list is a pretty even spit for the 2024, 2025, and 2026 classes from Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota. We learn about our TE MVP, two Spring stock-rising young QBs from Sioux Falls, and a prospect that has been one of my biggest stockrisers in the Midwest amongst camps and 7v7 this Spring. It’s go time.
Hunter Sayasavanh, QB, Sioux Falls Washington/SD Elite (SD) 2026
Hunter has continued to improve this Spring with his instinctive skillsets he has grown of utilizing his football IQ smoother within the progressions I have watched out of him. Hunter shows he has gotten stronger physically with his arm strength he developed during 7v7 season as he is still growing with his already fiery strength especially on the 1st and 2nd levels of the field. The biggest development for Hunter in my eyes, is he has a tendency to oversell his read with his eyes, as on occasion you will see really penetrate his eyes on one particular receiver. This kid has plenty of time to develop his speed and balance of his progressions, but that development should see some light with camp season coming up working with college coaches.
Seth Allen Seth Allen 6'4" | 200 lbs | TE Papillion-La Vista South | 2024 State NE , TE, Papio South/Spirit7Even (NE) 2024 Twitter
Seth by far was my TE MVP from Battle at the Borders within the high school groups last Sunday at Battle at the Borders. He showed off some of the best hands as well from the HS group, and there was a plethora of smooth balance from Seth when bringing the ball to his chest on a consistent basis which is a skill set I love to see. At 6’4 200 pounds, Seth is certainly a hybrid between tight end and a sizable wide receiver, as he showed off a good presence with his route-running. Seth in my eyes is one of the biggest sleepers for tight ends in Nebraska’s 2024 class and should get some solid attention this summer at college camps.
Austin Markman Austin Markman 5'11" | 150 lbs | ATH Roosevelt | 2025 State SD , ATH, Sioux Falls Roosevelt/Midwest Miners (SD) 2025 Twitter
Every chance I have gotten to watch Austin this Spring starting with the Midwest Miners tryout this winter, to at Battle of the Borders, each time I get more intrigued with just how developed this kid’s football IQ significantly is all over the field. Austin also seems to develop a bigger coverage area each time I get to watch him in the Miners secondary and his great sized island range he can work in shows it as I have seen Austin grow with his dexterity of his length this Spring. He certainly ended this Spring season from an total new name prospect to our radar this winter, to a prospect that I love the continued upside that should grow significantly over the next two seasons.
Blaise Showers, QB, Sioux Falls Lincoln/Midwest Miners (SD) 2025 Twitter
The now Sioux Falls Lincoln Patriots QB after moving over from Harrisburg, showed off another strong showing again this time at Battle at the Borders after a 1st-Team All Camp Team performance at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase the weekend before. He has continued to grow with his speed and balance with going thru his progressions each week I have gotten to watch him over the last month or so. At a verified 6’4 200 pounds, Blaise is a college football QB coach’s ideal fit with that size for scholarship-level programs. He has also developed his poise from when I first watched him in Iowa a couple months ago showing the gritty demeanor I would want out of him if he was my quarterback. One of the developments for Blaise this summer, is being able to analyze his arm strength within his routes. Blaise has significant arm talent on all three levels of the field, but adjusting the speeds smoother for his routes will help this kid going into summer and into early fall camp for the Patriots.
Dayton Harrell, WR/DB Sioux City North/SD Elite (IA) 2024 Twitter
Anytime during a spring season (3-4 months) you can catch my notepad, not once, not twice, but three times saying the term gets old as Sioux City North’s Dayton Harrell has climbed a mountain with his stock going into summer camp season here in the Midwest. Dayton was a certified menace with his agility in the open field at Battle of the Borders with his swiftly developing agility and instinct with the ball in his hands. Throw this young any short route out there and you will see the full circle of his footwork come thru with excellent explosion. Super stoked to see what the college coaches think of this young man this summer with camps as although he is slightly under the measurables threeshold, this is the kid you go outside that threeshold for every time as a recruiter.
