Jones was solid in man-coverages and also displayed great defensive instincts and reads. He also has very good hands and can run very good routes with good body control, balance and flexbility seen in his skills. He is versatile and seen as a player that could be recruited on either side of the ball.
I found him making plays all through the weekend that grabbed my attention. He is a New York recruit with ties to New England with his brother Mac Jones; who was a high level safety that started for the Crimson at safety for 5 years.

Football player WR/DB 5’10 160 class of 24
Scout Analysis: Performing mainly at the DB position, he had a solid performance throughout the weekend. He covered taller athletes which at first appeared as mis-matches, only to find out that there wasn’t a receiver in attendance taller than he is, that he couldn’t handle. Aggressive, physical and will go up to high top the ball each time he needs to. He plays through the arms of the receiver and forces many receivers to miss catches as a result.
Every time I saw a DB win a rep, it seemed as if he was the one making the play. He didn’t speak much during the event and let his skill set and performance speak for itself. Has a nice fluid back pedal and can open his hips in either direction quickly. His performance was at high level and he earned “Top Performer” Award within the PM session from the staff.
