<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Alma Airdales Football team led by Head Coach Rusty Bush are coming off of a 6-4 record are ready to come on strong this season and have the talent to do so. The Airdales are led by multiple Seniors beginning with Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='739573' first='Jackson' last='Daily'] a 6'2", 225 pound senior with 4.54 speed in the 40 yard dash. He bench presses 315 pounds and squats 405 pounds with a vertical jump of 32 inches and a GPA of 4.2 and an ACT score of 28. The name Daily should be very familiar to Alma and The University of Arkansas as father Adam Daily and grandfather Marvin Daily along with his uncle Clarke Moore all played for the Razorbacks. Jackson says that he feels the pressure to perform up to the family expectations but is also grateful for them as he looks up to all of them as they all influenced him. <br> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jackson has visited Missouri, Arkansas and Ouachita Baptist this summer. With Tulsa and Oklahoma State still remaining with others possible. Jackson has received a preferred walk on scholarship offer to Missouri already this summer as a linebacker. Last season, he mainly played tight end as Alma had returning starting senior quarterback Joe Trusty. Jackson had 11 catches for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jackson shows his leadership on the field by motivating his teammates and leading by example. <br> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>His personal goals for this season is to have a fun year with his teammates because of it being his last year as a high school football player. He says as far as a team goal it is to win a state championship. Jackson's strengths are motivating his teammates, speed and being a team player. Jackson says that what separates him from other quarterbacks in the state is athleticism, speed and size. What he loves the most about playing football is the camaraderie and brotherhood of his teammates. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jackson looks up to senior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='393056' first='Drake' last='Stogsdill'], head coach Rusty Bush and receivers Coach Payton Morris. I feel that Jackson has the athletic ability to succeed at the collegiate Level. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='393056' first='Drake' last='Stogsdill'] is a 5'10", 165 pound senior wide receiver with 4.58 speed in the 40 yard dash. He bench presses 255 pounds and squats 335 pounds with a 35.5 inch vertical jump. He has a 3.4 GPA. The camp that he has attended so far this summer is Lyon College. He intends on visiting Henderson State University, Arkansas Tech and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. What separates Drake from other receivers in the state is his route running, possession catches and contested catches. Drake also runs track. His individual goals for this upcoming season is to get 1,000 yards receiving and make all state with team goals of a conference and state championships. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>So far this summer Drake has received interest from Henderson State and Hendrix University. His strengths are his route running, possession catches, and contested catches. Drake also runs track. Last season, he had 34 catches for 450 yards and 3 touchdowns. What makes Drake the player that he is that he is hard working and doesn't give up. His father is his main influence in his football life. Th,e player on his team that he looks up to is running back Carlos Gonzalez and the coaches that he looks up to are head coach Rusty Bush, assistant coaches Payton Morris the receivers coach, Chris Smith offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator Zach Jones. <br> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Drake shows his leadership on the field by him being vocal, showing toughness and grit. What he loves the most about playing football is the brotherhood with his teammates. I feel that Drake will make it to the next level and be very successful. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1285518' first='Israel' last='Towns-Robinson'] is a running back/ outside Linebacker who is a 6'3", 225 pound Junior who runs a 4.8 40 yard dash while bench pressing 255 pounds and squatting 375 pounds with a 31 inch vertical jump and a 3.6 GPA. So far this summer Israel has visited Kansas State University with trips planned to the University of Missouri and the University of Arkansas sometime this summer. What separates Israel from other running backs in the state is that he gives everything that he has and loves to run over other players. Israel also plays basketball. His strengths are overcoming challenges and the ability to run over other players. He shows his leadership by encouraging his teammates.<br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This past season he rushed for 453 yards on 89 carries and had 9 touchdowns. His personal goals for this upcoming season is to be the leading rusher in school history while needing only 800 yards with a team goal of winning a state championship. Israel looks up to quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='739573' first='Jackson' last='Daily'] and offensive coordinator Chris Smith. He has been influenced the most in his football career by junior high coach Thomas Mata who has been a role model for him. What Israel loves the most about playing football is the team effort and being able to hit. I feel that Israel will be a name to remember while going to the next level and being successful. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='612846' first='Cash' last='Farris'] is a 6'0", 185 pound junior defensive back with 4.7 speed in the 40 yard dash and a vertical jump of 36 inches. He bench presses 225 pounds and squats 405 pounds while having a 4.0 GPA. What separates Cash from other defensive backs is his Football IQ, tackling, reading the quarterback and receivers eyes, Covering a lot of ground and loving to hit. He shows his leadership on the field by communicating with his teammates and his willingness to improve. His individual goals for this upcoming season is to make all state and lead the team in tackles and interceptions while also getting a college offer to play football. His team goal is to make the playoffs. <br> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last season, Cash had 61 tackles and 2 interceptions. So far this summer he has visited Syracuse University and SMU. He still plans on visiting Sam Houston State, Texas State University and Wake Forrest. Cash is receiving interest so far from Syracuse University and Yale both of which want him to come for a visit during the football season. His coaches, teammates, and work ethic is what makes Cash the player that he is. Cash was influenced the most in his football career by his father and safety coach Zachary Jones. He looks up to teammate [player_tooltip player_id='739573' first='Jackson' last='Daily'], head coach Rusty Bush and coach Zachary Jones. <br> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What Cash loves the most about playing football is the love of the sport, his team, team bonding and hitting. I feel Cash has the right mindset and talent to be very successful in the next level being college football. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Demetrius Parish is a 6'1", 160 pound senior wide receiver with 4.6 speed in the 40 yard dash with a 42 inch vertical jump. He bench presses 185 pounds and squats 285 pounds. Demetrius hasn't decided yet what colleges to visit. Colleges showing interest so far is Brown University. What separates him from other receivers in the state is his competitiveness. His individual goals for this upcoming season is to break the receiving record at Alma and make all state. His strengths are his vertical jump, speed and height. Demetrius also participates in track with the triple jump in which he holds the school record. <br> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What makes Demetrius the player that he is was the trauma that he has faced in his life which has made him a better person by participating in sports. The people that has influenced him in his football career is offensive coordinator Chris Smith and receivers coach Payton Morris. Demetrius looks up to senior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='393056' first='Drake' last='Stogsdill'] who he says plays for the team and not himself. Demetrius shows his leadership on the field by cheering on the defense and staying focused. I feel that Demetrius has the talent to go on to the next level that being college football. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Other talented Alma Airdales that will be helping are Carlos Gonzalez senior running back who is 5'10", 172 pounds. He rushed for 603 yards on 100 carries and 6 touchdowns last season. Byron Standridge 6'0", 184 pound, junior TE/ DL, Eli Waldrop 5'10", 280 pound junior OL/ DL. Eli holds the school record with a squat of 585 pounds, Ashton Chanhnouvong a 5'10", 170 pound Junior WR/DB and Samuel Schlegal a 6'0", 172 pound Sophomore<br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
