2024 New Additions: Offensive Linemen

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These four offensive linemen earned spots on our rankings for consistently generating movement up front.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='875505' first='Nuku' last='Mafi'] || OL || 6'4 || 295 || West High School || 2024</strong><br>Mafi is a man amongst boys every time he takes the turf. His imposing frame strikes fear into defensive players as soon as they see him warming up. Mafi helped the Panthers have one of the state's top rushing offenses in 2022. He does a great job collapsing defensive linemen down to open up rushing lanes. Mafi also excels at kicking edge rushers out to create holes. In pass protection, he does a great job sliding his feet to cut off pass rushers with his body.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='875508' first='Maile' last='Fonua'] || OL || 6'3 || 295 || Providence Hall</strong><br>Fonua loves the physicality of his position, and it shows every rep. He quickly gets out of his stances and crushes defensive linemen on first contact. Fonua does a good job keeping his hands inside and keeps his legs moving until he hears the whistle. He loves to finish blocks and served up plenty of pancakes last season. Fonu does a great job when pulling or staying tight to the line of scrimmage. He crushes unsuspecting defensive ends or linebackers that get in his path.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='875510' first='Benson' last='Kofe'] || OL || 6'1 || 290 || Granger High School </strong><br>Kofe joins a Lancers program looking to take the next step in 2023, and with him leading the offensive line, they will have a chance to do so. He is an exceptional communicator and does a good job detecting blitzes pre-snap. He keeps a good base in pass protection when battling with beastly defensive tackles. Kofe also excels at passing off twists and will help his teammates out when uncovered. He does an excellent job reach blocking, where he can quickly get over a gap to turn defensive linemen back inside.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='875513' first='Justice' last='Rutledge'] || OL || 6'2 || 290 || 6'2 || Riverton High School</strong><br>Rutledge is a road grader in the run game. He fires off the snap low and does a good job gaining and maintaining leverage against defensive linemen. Rutledge works well with his teammates on double teams and does a good job coming off to collect linebackers. His long arms help him keep defensive linemen out of the pocket in pass protection. Rutledge plays with good technique and gets out of his stance quickly before stifling pass rushers with a strong initial punch.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
