The linebackers certainly did that and then some, with each one of them competing and having impressive outings. My top five are listed below, along with my MVP Ephrata Mountaineer Quintin Pfautz Quintin Pfautz 6'3" | 210 lbs | LB Ephrata | 2024 State PA :
The MVP went to one of the few local products that was in attendance Ephrata Mountaineers Class of 2024 Quintin Pfautz Quintin Pfautz 6’3″ | 210 lbs | LB Ephrata | 2024 State PA . This rising senior was impressive in every area from his 40 to the one on one drills, this kid was a star on Saturday. Pfautz is somewhat of a late bloomer as he missed half of his Junior season due to injury, but when I tell you do not sleep on him this fall, believe me that is a fact. Drawing interest from many division 2 and FCS schools already, all of the coaches were singing his praises once the event was finished. Possessing great size, length, strength and speed this young man can play multiple positions at the next level. If Saturday was any indication, he is more than willing to do whatever it takes to help his squad succeed.
Highlights
Lowry is a stud and there is a good chance he may be a top 100 in Pennsylvania come next year no joke. Possessing great speed and power, you could see that on full display this past weekend from him. Lowry is another 2025 prospect who made a name for himself, particularly during the 1 on 1 portion. A stout athlete playing for Archbishop Wood, Lowry will be sure to have a major impact defensively this fall. Getting his name recognized in the meantime is the next step and his performance Saturday only helped him.
If you read my preview you knew how I felt about this young man’s talents and he didn’t disappoint Saturday. Running a good 40 and having great measurables was very impressive. O’Malley was also stout during the 1 on 1 period and was eager to get every rep he could, which all the coaches loved. This rising senior has the ability to play in the PSAC come fall of 2024, but do not shocked if several FCS schools come calling his way soon. He has over a 3.2 GPA and makes play as a running back also.
First time I became aware of how good this guy can be was Saturday as Smith was a force to be reckon with. Playing for Penns Manor this class of 2024 standout caught a lot of coaches attention with his play. Smith was really good during the matchups against the running backs and his measurables certainly had all the coaches their interested. What impressed me even more is the versatility he displayed as he prior had been known as a run stuffing linebacker (161 tackles last year). Saturday only cemented his case of why he is one of the top defenders for the class of 2024.
