2024 5'11 195 RB - [player_tooltip player_id='293577' first='Kam' last='Johnson'] - North Cross

[player_tooltip player_id='293577' first='Kam' last='Johnson'] earned 1st Team All-State RB honors for the second consecutive year in 2022. He's an absolute freight train with the ball in his hands, as he's unstoppable, and his cumulative yards after contact are up there with the most in Virginia. Johnson ran for 925 total yards on about 100 carries last season, and he added 15 TDs- the cherry on top. He recently received an invite to the 2023 VMI UA Football Camp this Summer, and this opportunity will be perfect for him to showcase his skills to D1 programs. As an elite ball carrier, Johnson was an integral part of North Cross' State Championship victory in 2022. I have a strong feeling that [player_tooltip player_id='293577' first='Kam' last='Johnson'] will light-up the stat sheets in 2023, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he puts forth his most dominant effort of his career this Fall for his Senior season.

2024 5'8 165 RB - [player_tooltip player_id='293578' first='Aslin' last='Shipe'] - Broad Run

[player_tooltip player_id='293578' first='Aslin' last='Shipe'] is an absolute game changer, and he impacts the game on both sides of the ball. On offense, his ridiculous speed and elusiveness allow him to break containment on the outside consistently, as well as dominate in the open field. On the defensive end he racks-up tackles as a result of his sprinter like chase downs. While Broad Run finished their season below the .500% mark, my prediction is that [player_tooltip player_id='293578' first='Aslin' last='Shipe']'s dominance will act as the catalyst for a Spartan winning season. Shipe is most definitely a top tier running back in the state of Virginia.

2024 6'2 190 LB/RB - [player_tooltip player_id='185461' first='Se'Von' last='McDowell'] - Dinwiddie

In 2022, [player_tooltip player_id='185461' first='Se'Von' last='McDowell'] and the Dinwiddie Generals achieved the coveted undefeated season, and they reached a whopping 15-0 record to do so. McDowell earned Team Captain, 1st Team All-State, and 1st Team All-Region honors at the linebacker position last Fall as well. With more than 100 total tackles, 27 tackles for a loss, and 13 sacks, it's safe to say that his numbers speak for themselves. While McDowell sometimes takes snaps in the backfield at RB, it's clear that his prowess is on the defensive end, but I still encourage scouts not to write him off as a ball carrier just yet. [player_tooltip player_id='185461' first='Se'Von' last='McDowell'] is as well-rounded a football player as any other in the state, and I believe it's essential that scouts know his name as well as his next level potential. He currently has quality D1 offers from: Richmond, Navy, NC A&T, JMU, and many more.

2024 5'9 170 RB - [player_tooltip player_id='293580' first='Elijah' last='Adkins'] - West Point

As he recorded 395 yards and 4 TDs, it's safe to say that [player_tooltip player_id='293580' first='Elijah' last='Adkins'] made the most of his 69 carries last year. The Junior running back averaged a jaw-dropping 5.7 yards per carry, along with 98.8 yards per game. His West Point Pointers team finished third in the Tidewater Region with a 6-5 record in 2022, and my prediction is that they finish next season with an even higher winning percentage in 2023. [player_tooltip player_id='293580' first='Elijah' last='Adkins'] will be a dominant force at RB1 this upcoming season for West Point, and local scouts must be aware of the performance he's about to put forth.

2024 5'9 180 RB/LB - [player_tooltip player_id='293581' first='NIco' last='Orlando'] - Brentsville District

[player_tooltip player_id='293581' first='NIco' last='Orlando'] completely dominated out of the backfield last season, and he was awarded 2nd Team All-State honors as a result. Orlando ran for 1,493 yards and 26 TDs in 2022, but that's just on the offensive end. Defensively, he's also a 2nd Team All-State linebacker who put up huge numbers to get there. He recorded 72 tackles with 17 for a loss, so the running back position is by no means the only place that Orlando thrives. He recently received an invitation to the 247 Sports National Preps Collegiate Showcase in Maryland this Summer, giving him ample opportunity to demonstrate his elite skills even more. In terms of running back talent, [player_tooltip player_id='293581' first='NIco' last='Orlando'] currently ranks among the best of the best in Virginia.
