These young men have a boatload of potential and have already become key cogs for their respective programs. Some have already picked up division one offers, while others are still awaiting their first. Regardless of their offer status, each can flat-out ball and has a bright future in 2023.
As always, If you have someone you think I need to see, please DM them to me on Twitter at @hsfbscout!
DE: Joseph Reiff Joseph Reiff 6'5" | 230 lbs | DL York | 2025 State IL 6’5″ 230, York
Reiff has the frame, closing speed, body control, and motor you look for in a defensive lineman. He’s got strong hands at the point of attack, he can squeeze interior gaps to tighten running lanes and he fights to keep his outside arm free with outside runs coming towards him.
ATH: Nathan Williams, 5’7″ 160, Lake Forest
Williams is quite versatile as a return man, he shows terrific speed and can make you miss in the open field. On defense, he’s got great anticipation, shows the confidence to jump quick game routes, and is a punishing tackler in run support. This young man plays a lot bigger than 5’7″.
QB: Brandon Parades Brandon Parades 6'1" | 170 lbs | QB Plainfield East | 2025 State IL 6′ 170, Plainfield East
A creative prospect outside the pocket who can unleash throws on the run without setting his feet and can fit the football through tight second-level windows. Brandon can pull a zone read & pick up yards on the ground with his legs, he’s got balanced feet inside the pocket and throws with anticipation & timing. His backyard style of play was fun to watch in 22.
ATH: Garrett Reese Garrett Reese 6'2" | 170 lbs | ATH Nazareth Academy | 2025 State IL 6’2″ 170, Nazareth
Garrett’s length, footwork, suddenness out of his breaks, and ability to read routes make him an intriguing cornerback prospect. On offense, he’s a sure-handed possession receiver with great concentration through contact and loose hips at the top of his routes.
OL: Jarve Bey, 6’3″ 295, Homewood Flossmoor
Yesterday, I released my list of 2025 offensive linemen in Illinois that I’d offer right now and Bey very well could have been on there. This kid plays with a chip on his shoulder, when he pulls he’s looking to bury defenders and he’s got solid flexibility for a big man. Bey takes great angles to the block, he plays with a strong base and has got some serious muscle behind his punch.
