Brayden Platt Brayden Platt 6'1" | 240 lbs | LB Yelm | 2024 State WA , Yelm
It’s not a secret that Platt is one of the best, most feared players in the state of Washington. He holds 19 offers as he enters his senior season, and recently released his top 8 which include (no order) Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Oregon, UCLA, and USC. Platt is an absolute game changer both at LB and RB for Yelm and is a massive piece to their success. He really checks all the boxes as your multi-year P5 starter and has been doing so for quite some time. Excellent instincts/reaction with closing speed and possesses tremendous strength at the POA. Excellent coordination all around as you won’t see him sacrifice his lower half for his hands and he’ll play fast and mean for 4 quarters. Spectators will be getting a treat by watching Platt for his senior season, and it’ll be interesting to see where he’ll end up once it’s all said and done.
Isaiah Patterson Isaiah Patterson 6'2" | 235 lbs | LB Yelm | 2024 State WA , Yelm
Yelm produces another big time player on that defense with Patterson, as he’s your 6’3″ 235lb menace that will be a disruptive player each week for Yelm. Dynamic LB as he can serve as your lethal pass rusher to come off quick off the edge but also flashes the ability to get skinny and shoot quick inside. Excellent initial ball get off with tremendous play rec and instincts to always put himself in position to make a play. He’s solid in coverage as well as he knows zone responsibilities and matches up very well with an athletic advantage over TE’s at the HS level. Patterson is heading to Cali to play ball at UCLA, and chose UCLA over Arizona State, Oregon, Washington State, Boise State, Nevada, and BYU.
David Lene David Lene 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB Eastside Catholic | 2024 State WA , Eastside Catholic
Lene has yet to pick up his 1st offer and I’m really not sure what colleges are waiting for. Another dynamic LB with the ability to line up on the edge and be that threat as a pass rusher with violent hands and a strong lower half, or even play in the box and come downhill through the alley to stop the run. Strong at the POA with a big striking ability when he gets squared up as well. He does a good job shedding and fighting through blocks to make plays. He did a good job in coverage as well, sticking to his zone and knowing when to float and when to sit. I think he’s on the verge of a massive senior season, and should definitely draw in his 1st offer anytime now and he’s most certainly earned it.
