A few weeks ago, I did an All-2024 1st round re-draft featuring some of the top junior prospects in the state. As requested, I decided also to do an All-2025 1st round re-draft. This re-draft features 31 of the top sophomore prospects. I used team needs as the main driver behind every selection. In some cases, I did use the “best player available” method.
Check out where your favorite 2025 prospect will call home in our 1st Round Re-Draft.
Pick 1: Carolina Panthers
Sebastian Circo Sebastian Circo 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Millard North | 2025 FL | QB | Omaha North | 6’0″ 170 lbs
The Carolina Panthers move up to get their franchise QB by selecting Omaha North’s Sebastian Circo Sebastian Circo 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Millard North | 2025 FL . Sebastian returned from an early season injury to lead the Vikings back to the playoffs and finished with 1,302 passing yards, 16 passing touchdowns, and a QBR of 162. Circo is a smooth passer that processes the game very well. He has great ball placement, timing, and touch on his passes. One thing people overlook about Circo’s game is his deep ball ability, showing off solid arm strength when he’s asked to launch it. Sebastian’s poise and confidence on the sidelines and in the huddle put him over the top as a prospect. Breathe easy, Carolina!
Pick 2: Houston Texans
Madden Riggs Madden Riggs 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Elkhorn South | 2025 State NE | QB | Elkhorn South | 6’3″ 185 lbs
This one is a tough one, with how many talented QBs are available. I think the Texans go with Elkhorn South’s Madden Riggs Madden Riggs 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Elkhorn South | 2025 State NE , who might have the highest ceiling as a pure passer in the class. He’s a tall, athletic QB who can make throws to all field levels and can be a threat on the ground. Madden is another smooth passer with solid mechanics. He is an efficient passer who can deliver the ball accurately, even under pressure. Madden does well when on the move and always manages to keep his eyes downfield with the ability to throw on the run.
Pick 3: Houston Texans
Christian Jones Christian Jones 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE | LB | Omaha Westside | 6’3″ 215 lbs
Houston locks up their franchise QB and then comes right back and gets HC DeMeco Ryans, a shiny defensive weapon in Christian Jones Christian Jones 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE . Jones is the type of linebacker and player that would be a perfect fit in a DeMeco Ryans defense. Jones is smart during the pre-snap process and communicates well with teammates. Jones can do everything you can ask out of a linebacker, whether he’s blitzing off the edge, playing off-ball, or covering slot receivers. He finished the 2022 season with 60 tackles, 5 TFLs, 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 3 PBUs, and an interception. He’s quick to diagnose plays and is smart with his gap play. Very physical at the point of contact, loves to lay the wood! A surefire cornerstone for your defense for the next 15 years.
Pick 4: Indianapolis Colts
Kolbe Volkmer Kolbe Volkmer 6'5" | 220 lbs | QB Pius X | 2025 State NE | QB | Lincoln Pius X | 6’5″ 215 lbs
I compare this to the Colt’s selection of Anthony Richardson. Kolbe is a player that passes the eye test right off the bat at 6’5″ and 215 lbs and possesses high-upside athleticism that is too hard to pass up. Kolbe had a great first season as QB1, where he displayed his arm talent and ability to pick up yards on the ground. He has a strong arm that can move the ball deep downfield and put some zip on his passes. Kolbe has nice ball placement and can pin it exactly where his receiver needs it. He moves around the pocket very well and has the strength to fight through sack attempts to stay upright. Solid accuracy on the move. Pairing his dual-threat ability with RB Johnathan Taylor makes for one explosive offense.
Pick 5: Seattle Seahawks
Jeter Worthley Jeter Worthley 6'0" | 175 lbs | QB Lincoln East | 2025 State NE | QB | Lincoln East | 6’0″ 175 lbs
Yes, 4 QBs in the top 5. There are still several great defensive players, but with two first-round picks, I feel comfortable with the Seahawks taking their future signal-caller. Worthley is a player that fits the Russell-Geno mold of being a very mobile, elusive QB that can maneuver the pocket and throw accurately on the move. He has solid accuracy on short-deep throws and displayed nice timing on a lot of his throws. What stands out about Jeter is his decision-making, he doesn’t turn the ball over often and knows when it’s a good time to tuck it and run. Great no pressure situation for Worthley!
Pick 6: Arizona Cardinals
Kalvin Janssen Kalvin Janssen 6'4" | 280 lbs | OL Gretna | 2025 State NE | OL | Gretna | 6’4″ 280 lbs
The Cardinals select their bookend tackle of the future with fast-rising Gretna OL Kalvin Janssen Kalvin Janssen 6'4" | 280 lbs | OL Gretna | 2025 State NE . Kalvin provides a solid, fundamentally sound player that can protect Kyler Murray. Kalvin already does everything extremely well, from pass protection to run-blocking. He has great lateral mobility and can easily move into the second level and seal off linebackers. Kalvin uses his hands and leverage extremely well, maintaining great positioning and pad level throughout the entirety of the play. He’s very physical and is always looking to finish his blocks in the dirt. Kalvin already plays at an advanced level, and he’s only heading into his junior year… star in the making!
Pick 7: Las Vegas Raiders
Tyson Terry Tyson Terry 6'2" | 270 lbs | DL Omaha North | 2025 State NE | DT/DE | Omaha North | 6’3″ 275 lbs
The Raiders could have gone several ways here, but adding reinforcements on the defensive line is much needed. Ranking toward the bottom of the league against the run, adding Tyson Terry Tyson Terry 6'2" | 270 lbs | DL Omaha North | 2025 State NE gives the Raiders a defender that can line up anywhere on the defensive line and help them in that aspect. Tyson ended his sophomore season with 54 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, and two fumble recoveries. He can be disruptive in the interior line as a DT/NT, using his brute strength and power to blow up gaps and stuff inside runs. Tyson can also be moved over to a 4i or 5-tech to help the defense gain the edge and allow LBs to come in and make plays. Tyson plays very aggressively and has a certain will to win every rep. A defensive front featuring Tyson Terry Tyson Terry 6'2" | 270 lbs | DL Omaha North | 2025 State NE , Maxx Crosby, and Chandler Jones sounds extremely terrifying.
Pick 8: Atlanta Falcons
Pierre Allen Jr Pierre Allen Jr 6'3" | 215 lbs | DL Lincoln Southeast | 2025 State NE . | EDGE/OLB | Lincoln Southeast | 6’3″ 205 lbs
The Falcons get a much-needed edge presence that can do it all at the line of scrimmage. Pierre Allen Jr Pierre Allen Jr 6'3" | 215 lbs | DL Lincoln Southeast | 2025 State NE . is a player that has been a steady riser this offseason and someone I’m expecting a big year from. He had a huge breakout season as a sophomore, finishing with 75 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, 2 passes defended, an interception, and 3 touchdowns. Allen’s explosive first step and bend coming off the edge have turned him into one of the top pass rushers heading into the 2023 season. Pierre plays with an insane motor and drive to win every rep. He uses his hands extremely well and displays a lot of athleticism with his rush moves. Pierre isn’t just a “pass rusher,” as he does very well against the run, eating up inside runs and doing a great job holding the edge. He is versatile enough to play as a standup ‘backer on the line or defensive end, depending on the defensive package. Just get this guy on the field and let him eat!
Pick 9: Philadelphia Eagles
Cameron Bell Cameron Bell 6'0" | 280 lbs | DL Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE | DT | Omaha Westside | 6’0″ 280 lbs
The Eagles load up on the defensive front with a game-wrecker on the defensive line. Cameron Bell Cameron Bell 6'0" | 280 lbs | DL Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE played a huge part in the Warrior’s defensive success, clogging up inside gaps and providing teammates opportunities to hunt down QBs and backs. He ended the 2022 season with 40 tackles, 4 TFLs, and a state championship. Bell is a strong player with a sturdy lower body that keeps him planted and allows him to drive opponents back. He also possesses a lot of strength and explosiveness in his hands and hips, able to swat and rip his way through blocks. Very good lateral explosiveness and short area burst. Try running on a defense with Jordan Davis and Cameron Bell Cameron Bell 6'0" | 280 lbs | DL Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE on the interior DL.
Pick 10: Chicago Bears
Garin Maley Garin Maley 6'6" | 250 lbs | OL Papillion-La Vista | 2025 State NE | OT | Papillion-La Vista | 6’6″ 250 lbs
One of the Bear’s top priorities this offseason is to protect franchise QB Justin Fields. Papillion-La Vista’s Garin Maley Garin Maley 6'6" | 250 lbs | OL Papillion-La Vista | 2025 State NE is the perfect man to take over the left tackle spot in Chicago. Maley is a tall, athletic tackle prospect with all the tools to continue developing into a monster in the trenches. Maley really impressed in pass protection, where he displayed great fundamentals and athleticism when taking on pass rushers.
Pick 11: Tennessee Titans
Chase Loftin Chase Loftin 6'6" | 215 lbs | TE Millard South | 2025 State NE | TE | Elkhorn North | 6’5″ 200 lbs
The Titans are lacking in explosive playmakers on offense, whether it be at receiver or tight end. Therefore, a versatile flex TE like Chase Loftin Chase Loftin 6'6" | 215 lbs | TE Millard South | 2025 State NE would be a perfect addition to the passing game. He had a very productive sophomore season with 39 receptions, 577 yards, and five receiving touchdowns. Loftin is a tall, lengthy pass-catcher with the size of a tight end and the footwork/route running of a wide receiver. It doesn’t really make sense how someone with Chase’s measurables can move so well. He is sharp with his change of direction and can create separation from defenders. Chase also does a very good job finding the open zones, especially over the middle of the field, and has the hand strength to hang on through contact. Chase is also an effective blocker in the running game. Loftin comes right in and becomes the top receiving target in this offense.
Pick 12: Detroit Lions
Pierce Mooberry Pierce Mooberry 6'4" | 200 lbs | ATH Millard North | 2025 State NE | EDGE/OLB | Millard North | 6’4″ 200 lbs
Pierce’s upside at tight end was hard to overlook, but in the end, his defensive versatility will fit well in a Dan Campbell defense. Pierce is a unique player who can do it all on the defensive side, from rushing the passer, defending the run, and dropping back into coverage, he finished with 45 tackles, ten tackles for loss, four sacks, and an interception on defense. He has upside as a defensive end, outside linebacker, and even safety. He can fire off the ball quickly and does a great job using his length to create separation at the line of scrimmage. Mooberry keeps his hands firing when fighting through blocks and explodes toward the ball when he gets free. You can also line him up as nickel and let him take on smaller receivers and less athletic TEs.
Pick 13: Green Bay Packers
Jackson Carpenter Jackson Carpenter 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Lincoln Southwest | 2025 State NE | WR | Lincoln Southwest | 6’2″ 185 lbs
The Packers usually don’t draft receivers in the first round but adding a playmaker like Jackson Carpenter Jackson Carpenter 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Lincoln Southwest | 2025 State NE would be huge for this young offense. Carpenter provides the Packers with a reliable outside receiving threat with deceptive vertical speed and the ability to take the top off a defense. He had a healthy average of 23 yards per reception, finishing with 324 yards on 14 receptions and four touchdowns. Carpenter’s top-tier vertical allows him to play above the rim and elevate over defenders to win at the ball’s high point. He made several great contested receptions where he showed off his concentration through the catch process. Carpenter helps ease the transition into the Jordan Love era.
Pick 14: Pittsburgh Steelers
Keynan Cotton Keynan Cotton 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE | CB | Omaha Westside | 5’10” 185 lbs
I like this fit a lot! The Steelers, known for their tough, physical defense, add one of the more physical corners in the 2025 class. Keynan Cotton Keynan Cotton 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE is one of the top overall talents in his class with his receiving, returning, and defensive play. Keynan has shown true lockdown potential at cornerback with his fluidity in coverage and physicality. Cotton displays great hand/eye discipline in coverage and hardly ever puts himself in a bad position. Keynan is very twitchy, with excellent stop/start and fluidity in his hips to mirror receivers in coverage. He possesses excellent ball skills and is very aggressive when the ball is in play. Cotton ended his sophomore season with 45 tackles, 3 PBUs, two interceptions, and a forced fumble. Keynan will fit right in, in the Steel City.
Pick 15: New York Jets
Cole Erickson Cole Erickson 6'4" | 225 lbs | DL Lincoln Southwest | 2025 State NE | DL/EDGE | Lincoln Southwest | 6’4″ 220 lbs
It never hurts to add talented, athletic, bendy players that can wreak havoc at the line of scrimmage. Cole is an up-and-coming defensive end/edge rusher that is primed to break out in a big way this season. Erickson’s explosiveness stands out in his tape, with a fast first step and tons of twitch at the LOS. His strength is also very impressive, using his leg drive to walk blockers back in their stance. Very violent hand use and ability to shed blocks. Erickson also does a great job defending the run with sound gap play and lateral quickness to chase down RBs.
Pick 16: Washington Commanders
Caden VerMaas Caden VerMaas 6'0" | 195 lbs | ATH Millard North | 2025 State NE | S | Millard North | 6’0″ 195 lbs
This was an easy pick for the Commanders as they land a defender that can do it all and line up anywhere on the defense. Nebraska commit Caden VerMaas Caden VerMaas 6'0" | 195 lbs | ATH Millard North | 2025 State NE is an intriguing prospect that plays almost a positionless role on defense. VerMaas primarily lines up as a safety where he excels at defending the pass and stopping the run. You can slide him down into a nickel role to lock down slot receivers and tight ends. He can also play a box safety/LB role, stepping up to help stuff the run. Caden is quick to break on the ball and has great closing speed/range. Very physical player with a great motor! Big-time enforcer in the Capitol!
Pick 17: New England Patriots
Griffin Goldman Griffin Goldman 6'3" | 250 lbs | OL Gretna | 2025 State NE | OL | Gretna | 6’3″ 250 lbs
The Patriots invested heavily in their offensive line this draft, namely on the interior OL. I think they use their first-round pick to snag Gretna’s, Griffin Goldman Griffin Goldman 6'3" | 250 lbs | OL Gretna | 2025 State NE . Griffin is a player with plug-and-play ability along the offensive line. He primarily played guard for the Dragons, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up playing some tackle by the time he’s a senior, which adds extra draft value. He is very quick off the ball, uses great hand placement, and consistently wins the leverage/hands battle. Griffin is explosive when making contact, especially on pulling plays where he can build up a lot of momentum before blowing up his opponent. Smart, versatile, well-coached offensive lineman??? Yea, that’s a Belichick pick!
Pick 18: Detroit Lions
Alijah Wayne Alijah Wayne 6'4" | 225 lbs | ATH Omaha Central | 2025 State NE | TE | Omaha Central | 6’4″ 205 lbs
The Lions added a freak on defense; now they add a freak on offense with Central’s Alijah Wayne Alijah Wayne 6'4" | 225 lbs | ATH Omaha Central | 2025 State NE . Alijah is a rising tight-end prospect that has caught a lot of attention with his top-tier athleticism. Wayne has the size and build for a tight end but can move like a receiver. He can be lined up anywhere to exploit the best mismatches and has the mix of size and quickness to win his matchup regardless of what defender is put on him. Wayne does a great job creating separation, and his length helps him make catches outside his frame and away from defenders. Add in his blocking ability, and you have a steal with the 18th pick!
Pick 19: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Dawson Amick Dawson Amick 6'3" | 275 lbs | OL Battle Creek | 2025 State NE | OT | Battle Creek | 6’4″ 250 lbs
The Buccs snag an elite tackle prospect in Dawson Amick Dawson Amick 6'3" | 275 lbs | OL Battle Creek | 2025 State NE to pair up with young star Tristan Wirfs. Dawson is a mean dude when you meet him on the field. He plays with a nasty mean streak and is always looking to finish his blocks with a pancake finish. He’s very mobile for his size, moving quickly on pulls and clearing his way into the second and third levels for blocks. Dawson’s explosiveness when making contact stands out in his tape, firing through his hands and hips to level defenders. At least new QB Baker Mayfield will know that both his tackles are secure.
Pick 20: Seattle Seahawks
Landon Sobota Landon Sobota 6'4" | 300 lbs | DL Ashland-Greenwood | 2025 State NE | DT | Ashland-Greenwood | 6’5″ 285 lbs
The Seahawks locked up their QB of the future, and now they scoop up a monster defender that will help shore up their defensive line struggles. Seattle needs help stopping the run, and Landon Sobota Landon Sobota 6'4" | 300 lbs | DL Ashland-Greenwood | 2025 State NE is the right person for the job. He does very well at eating up inside gaps and double teams, oftentimes still managing to break through to make a play. I like his upside at defensive tackle, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he could also do damage at defensive end. One thing that stood out about Landon was his relentless pursuit of the ball, usually flying 10-15 yards downfield to chase the ball carrier. The 12th man will be a huge fan of their new DT.
Pick 21: Los Angeles Chargers
Adam Pugh Adam Pugh 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL Millard South | 2025 State NE | DE | Millard South | 6’4″ 220 lbs
Finding ways to get after Patrick Mahomes should be one of the top priorities. Millard South’s defensive end Adam Pugh Adam Pugh 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL Millard South | 2025 State NE would be a huge addition to the defensive front after having a breakout sophomore season. Pugh has a nice get-off at the snap and can apply pressure using inside or outside moves. He has great pursuit and can be seen coming off the backside to make plays behind the line of scrimmage. Very explosive player that can blow blockers off their spots with his powerful punch. Great running mate opposite of Joey Bosa.
Pick 22: Baltimore Ravens
Titan Glassman Titan Glassman 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE | WR | Omaha North | 6’0″ 180 lbs
Now that Lamar is on board for the long term, let’s get him some elite weapons like North’s Titan Glassman Titan Glassman 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE to throw to. We have been big on Glassman since he shined as a freshman and has only continued to improve. In his first season in the North offense, he finished with 32 receptions and 500 yards. He is one of the top route-runners in the class, with crisp footwork and smoothness coming out of his break. Glassman has shown the ability to beat press coverage and easily creates separation from defenders. He’s extremely reliable at the catch point and is dynamic after the catch. Inside/outside versatility makes him a fun receiver to scheme up plays for. Odell and Titan should be one of the more exciting duos in the league.
Pick 23: Minnesota Vikings
Anthony Liggins Anthony Liggins DB Omaha Central | 2025 State NE | CB | Omaha Central | 5’10”
The Vikings get some much needed cornerback help selecting Anthony Liggins Anthony Liggins DB Omaha Central | 2025 State NE . Anthony is a tough, aggressive cornerback that embraces press coverage and can get in a receiver’s face. He can play on the perimeter, move into a slot/nickel corner, and take on shiftier inside receivers. Liggins has great speed and can keep up with most receivers, with nice fluidity when changing direction. Very smooth backpedal with a nice burst when breaking on the ball. Anthony uses his hands very well and often gets them in the mix to try and break up passes.
Pick 24: New York Giants
Landon Kelley Landon Kelley 5'10" | 160 lbs | DB Lincoln Southwest | 2025 State NE | CB | Lincoln Southwest | 5’10” 155 lbs
Back-to-back cornerbacks as the Giants secure a lockdown corner for themselves. Landon Kelley Landon Kelley 5'10" | 160 lbs | DB Lincoln Southwest | 2025 State NE was thrown to the wolves this season as one of Lincoln Southwest’s starting corners and tore it up. Kelley is a great athlete with very smooth movements, quick feet, and loose hips. He has no issue getting right up on the line and playing some press coverage. Landon uses his hands very well and can disrupt the receiver’s route. He does a good job tracking the ball in the air and had some nice plays where he was able to undercut the route to make a play on the ball.
Pick 25: Buffalo Bills
Leyton Snodgrass Leyton Snodgrass 6'5" | 190 lbs | ATH York | 2025 State NE | OLB | York | 6’5″ 200 lbs
Now with Aaron Rodgers in the division, adding versatile defenders would be huge. Leyton Snodgrass Leyton Snodgrass 6'5" | 190 lbs | ATH York | 2025 State NE is a great pick here because of everything he can bring to the field. You can line him up at the line of scrimmage and let him pin his ears back and get after the quarterback. He can drop in coverage to help eliminate underneath routes, crossing TEs, and RBs out of the backfield. Leyton is smart with his gap play and can stop runs to the outside and between the tackles. He can even line up head-up on slot receivers and TEs. Snodgrass is a physical tackler with solid fundamentals and follows through with every hit.
Pick 26: Dallas Cowboys
Sawyer Schilke Sawyer Schilke 6'4" | 225 lbs | LB Kearney | 2025 State NE | LB | Kearney | 6’4″ 230 lbs
The Cowboys draft a running mate for Leighton Vander Esch. Kearney’s Sawyer Schilke Sawyer Schilke 6'4" | 225 lbs | LB Kearney | 2025 State NE is a similar player with a big frame and physical downhill playing style. He is a handful at 6’4″ and 220 lbs and can power his way through blocks with his strength. Schilke plays his gaps very well and shows that he can get to the edge quickly enough to defend outside runs and screens. Very physical tackler that loves to drive his nose through his opponent. With the Eagle’s running attack and Saquan in your division, adding huge thumpers like Sawyer should pay major dividends.
Pick 27: Jacksonville Jaguars
Kale Johnson Kale Johnson 6'3" | 215 lbs | ATH Papillion-La Vista | 2025 State NE | S/LB | Papillion-La Vista | 6’3′ 210 lbs
I like the Jaguars loading up on defensive talent to compete with some of the explosive offenses in the AFC. Kale Johnson Kale Johnson 6'3" | 215 lbs | ATH Papillion-La Vista | 2025 State NE provides a huge boost to the defense as a player that can play the pass and the run. Johnson has an excellent sideline-to-sideline range like a safety but is physical like a linebacker. He is a tall, lengthy player with room to continue packing onto his frame. He’s a very willing tackler that will not hesitate to step up and take on a RB 1v1. Johnson can get depth in coverage, and he quickly gets downhill when he reads the run. His lengthy frame is a huge asset in pass coverage, as he does a great job getting his arms up to make a play on the ball.
Pick 28: Cincinnati Bengals
Thomas Spears Thomas Spears 5'7" | 145 lbs | ATH Ashland Greenwood | 2025 State NE | S | Ashland-Greenwood | 5’7″ 145 lbs
The Bengal’s secondary took a bit of a beating this offseason, especially at the safety position, where they lost both starters. Thomas doesn’t just fill one of those spots but also gives the Bengals someone who can slide into the slot. Spears is a super rangy, twitchy safety with elite ball skills and closing speed. QBs learned not to throw his way in his sophomore year, but he still came up with two picks and four pass breakups. He is a very smart player that can read offenses pre-snap, communicate with his teammates, and also make adjustments during the play. Despite not being the biggest player, he is a very willing tackler with excellent technique to make sure he gets his man down.
Pick 29: New Orleans Saints
Rocky Chavez Rocky Chavez 6'0" | 205 lbs | LB Millard North | 2025 State NE | LB | Millard North | 6’0″ 210 lbs
The Saints add a physical downhill defender in Rocky Chavez Rocky Chavez 6'0" | 205 lbs | LB Millard North | 2025 State NE . Rocky is one of the more under-the-radar 2025 prospects, but when you watch his tape, you see his massive upside. He does a great job as a gap-filler and blowing up running backs in the hole. Chavez is a patient defender that can sit back and diagnose the play before exploding to make a play. Chavez also does a solid job shedding blocks and keeping his eye on the ball while doing so. He displays solid agility and lateral movement to chase down backs and fluidity in coverage.
Pick 30: Philadelphia Eagles
Ethan Garner Ethan Garner 6'2" | 285 lbs | OL Lincoln East | 2025 State NE | OT | Lincoln East | 6’3″ 290 lbs
The Eagles don’t have a ton of holes on their roster, but one place they could add more depth is the offensive line. Lincoln East’s Ethan Garner Ethan Garner 6'2" | 285 lbs | OL Lincoln East | 2025 State NE had a great first full season as a varsity starter. Looking back at the season, Ethan played some great pass rushers and did more than hold his own against several of those players. He has great size with a strong base that holds him sturdy and nice arm length to help keep defenders away. Garner moves very well and can get up into the second level to pick up extras defenders. He does have the ability to slide inside to guard if needed. If Johnson or Mailata retire, you can feel comfortable with Garner waiting in the wings.
Pick 31: Kansas City Chiefs
Dupree Pleasant Dupree Pleasant 6'4" | 180 lbs | WR Lincoln East | 2025 State NE | WR | Lincoln Northeast | 6’4″ 180 lbs
The Super Bowl Champion Chiefs have a few needs that should be addressed, but why not take an exciting young receiver for QB Patrick Mahomes? Lincoln Northeast WR Dupree Pleasant Dupree Pleasant 6'4" | 180 lbs | WR Lincoln East | 2025 State NE gives the champs a dominant outside receiver. Pleasant is a bigger-bodied receiver who knows how to use his size to his advantage, especially against undersized defenders. He has insane hops to go up and get the ball at the high point. Pleasant has strong hands that help him hold on through contact. One thing that is overlooked about Dupree is his speed. He can turn on the burners once the ball is in his hands, or you can get him the ball in open space on sweeps and screens and let him cook himself. Mix Dupree’s size and athleticism with some of the speed on the receiving corp, and you have a full array of weapons to help Mahomes.
