Offseason Program Profile: Stroudsburg Mountaineers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Under head coach Jim Miller. Stroudsburg put together a nice winning season in 2022-23 after going 4-6 in 2021. The Mountaineers were led by a very good defense, that allowed 14 points or less in eight of their games this past season, on average they allowed 16.5 points per game while scoring 22.8 points per game on the offensive side of the ball. All in all, it was a quality season for the Mountaineers. They picked up big wins over Pocono Mountain East, Pocono Mountain West, Louis E. Dieruff, East Stroudsburg North, William Allen, and East Stroudsburg South. Running back Andre Reams Jr was a big part of their success offensively while cornerback Bryan Irizarry, linebacker Zquan Eaddy, defensive end Chris Mignosi, and safeties [player_tooltip player_id='530950' first='Adonia' last='Quartey'] and [player_tooltip player_id='234132' first='Ben' last='Jones'] led the way defensively. Jelonie Rieara shows quite a bit of promise while they return quite a bit of talent on the defensive side of the ball headlined by linebacker Nathan Kross, linebacker Ryan Francis, and cornerback [player_tooltip player_id='1552846' first='Jalen' last='Taylor']. The Mountaineers as mentioned above are always a consistently strong program so there's no doubt they'll be near the top of the Eastern Pennsylvania North division in our mind. Their ceiling, however, will come down to their offense which was good last year but may need to take another step for the Mountaineers to knock off teams like Northampton and Pleasant Valley.
