The Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer for many folks. Meanwhile, it is also time for people to remember the lives lost in defense of this country as well. So please take the time to thank a veteran and remember the lives lost. It is at this point in the year when thoughts begin to shift to what is going on in football camps as well. We are going to get you caught up on the headlines making recruiting news across the Lone Star State today.

[player_tooltip player_id='919509' first='Ty' last='Haywood']-Offensive Line-Denton Ryan-6'6” 270-Pounds-2025

[player_tooltip player_id='919509' first='Ty' last='Haywood'] occupies the left tackle position in impressive fashion for Ryan High School in Denton. He has impressive speed and has no problem getting out in front on screen passes. Meanwhile, he is an offensive lineman that uses his power well, especially on running plays where he can drive the opposing defensive lineman to the ground. Over the past week, the talented offensive lineman has earned scholarship offers from Alabama and LSU. Look for Haywood to be a Saturday starter in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='432346' first='Luke' last='Carney']-Quarterback-Dallas Christian-6'2' 200-Pounds-2025

[player_tooltip player_id='432346' first='Luke' last='Carney'] is 26-2 at Dallas Christian thus far in his career. He is a quarterback that can hurt you with his arm or his legs. Carney has thrown for over 3,000 yards and 33 touchdowns at Dallas Christian. His accuracy is extremely impressive, having completed 70% of his passes. Over the weekend, the talented signal caller earned a scholarship offer from Western Michigan University. Carney has the potential to see plenty of snaps on Saturdays in the not-too-distant future.

[player_tooltip player_id='432276' first='Antoine' last='Martin Jr']-Wide Receiver-Iowa Colony-6'1” 170-Pounds-2025

The Lone Star State has no shortage of speed at the skill positions over the next few classes. [player_tooltip player_id='432276' first='Antoine' last='Martin Jr']. does an excellent job of creating separation via his route running and speed combination. He has the ability to turn a short gain into an explosive in the blink of an eye. Martin Jr. is a wide receiver that college coaches are going to target because of his ability to stretch the field vertically. Over the weekend, Martin Jr. earned a scholarship offer from the Texas Tech Red Raiders. He is a wide receiver to watch out for over the next couple of seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='119033' first='Colton' last='Harrison']-Athlete-Gregory-Portland-6'3” 200-Pounds-2024

[player_tooltip player_id='119033' first='Colton' last='Harrison'] is a matchup nightmare on both sides of the ball. Opposing teams must contend, with his impressive ability at the wide receiver position. Harrison is a strong route runner. He does a great job of using his route running to create separation from opposing defensive backs. Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball he is a prospect that accounted for 12 tackles and two sacks. Harrison earned a scholarship offer from Cornell over the weekend. He is a prospect that has the potential to do some things this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='920579' first='Dillon' last='Arkansas']-Athlete-Denton Ryan-6'1” 190-Pounds-2025

[player_tooltip player_id='920579' first='Dillon' last='Arkansas'] is a force to be dealt with on either side of the ball for Denton Ryan. On the defensive side of the ball, he racked up 80 tackles with six of those being for loss last season. He uses his speed well to defeat blocks and explode into the opposing offensive backfield. Arkansas works primarily at the linebacker position on the defensive side of the ball, and it is a position that seems to suit him well. Earlier in the week, Arkansas earned a scholarship offer from Duke University. Keep an eye on this prospect, he has the potential to do big things over the next few seasons.
