LB | Isaiah Veatch Isaiah Veatch 6'0" | 220 lbs | LB Waterford Mott | 2024 State MI | 2024 | Waterford Mott | Hudl
Veatch impressed more than any other defensive player at the showcase. Just by looks, he’s a ripped 6’0 220 and is in incredible shape. During initial testing, he was moving quite well and was amongst the fastest out of the LB group. Moving into competition, that’s where Isaiah really started to turn heads. He played aggressively and was great 1 on 1 versus a ballcarrier while serviceable in pass defense. Waterford Mott is known throughout Michigan for an amazing Offense, but maybe it’s time to look at the defense with Isaiah in the middle of it.
LB | Michael Bush Michael Bush 6'2" | 190 lbs | ATH Linden | 2024 State MI | 2024 | Linden | Hudl
Bush was another linebacker that immediately caught my eye. Similarly to Veatch, Michael Bush Michael Bush 6'2" | 190 lbs | ATH Linden | 2024 State MI was consistent, moved pretty well, and did not miss tackles. He was also near the front of the line at the beginning of every drill, and played with great confidence in himself. I don’t believe Michael is the greatest athlete in the world, but he’s very fit and knows what he’s doing out there. He did well enough to be recognized as one of the best LBs, and I look forward to a dominant senior season and perhaps some DIII attention.
DL | Andrew Fust | 2024 | Gabriel Richard | Hudl
Fust is another one of those guys that I kept hearing about. As a lineman, Fust is built incredibly well, standing at 6’3 with a muscular build. He plays a physical game yet is pretty well refined fundamentally. He had some ups, and he had some downs, but overall he sported a great camp. His performance yesterday earned him an offer from Hope College and a ranking in the next update!
DL | Lamar Moore | 2024 | River Rouge | Hudl
I don’t know what they’re feeding those guys at River Rouge, but this program seems to produce some great linemen. You look at him at 6’0 270 and think he’s a power DT, but I was quite impressed with his ability to use his hands to shed blocks. This is a guy that knows how to create pass rush as demonstrated yesterday, and he knows how to stop the run, as demonstrated by his film. I’m super excited to see what he’s able to do next season and I’m looking forward to seeing what college interest he garners. Right now, he has a DIII grade, but it’s still real early in my evaluation.
DE | Shamar Riser-Pressley Shamar Riser-Pressley 6'6" | 225 lbs | DL Clintondale | 2024 State MI | 2024 | Clintondale | Hudl
Shamar is a guy I’ve seen on film or twitter here and there, but I’ve never actually seen him compete in person until yesterday. Tall and a bit thin, I didn’t really know what to expect from Shamar- but I knew going in he had some talent. I straight-up watched him dominate during the competition session. His first rep I watched, he bull-rushed one of the biggest linemen at the showcase and threw him into the dummy Quarterback. His second rep, the same O-Lineman overcommitted with power and Shamar hit him with a nasty spin move. From there, Shamar won just about every rep. Very impressive, and I now know why he’s considered a Divison 1 prospect.
