Gets good extension to lock out opponents, with heavy hands to discard; has the lower-body strength to anchor at the line. Plays with discipline on the back end. Bull rush can give opposing blockers trouble on passing downs. Excellent leg drive on his bull rush to walk back opposing linemen; functional strength is much better than his size would suggest.

Plays a high rate of the team’s snaps. Strong lower body allows him to hold the point of attack in the run game. Gets good extension with his arms and keeps his head up, doing a good job of locating the football and flowing in the play direction. Flashes a rip to disengage and can also make one-armed tackles while blocked at times. Works hard to pursue to the sidelines. Occasionally drew some extra attention from opposing blockers on passing downs. Pretty active with his hands and has a swim move that looks potentially viable. Consistently gets his hands up to contest passing lanes.

Pretty good discipline on the back side. Capable of making tackles while engaged. Rangier than anticipated, closes well and has a big wingspan to bring down ball carriers. Varies his rush approach to keep defenders off-balance. Shows impressive effort and physicality on a snap-to-snap basis. Covers a lot of ground with his first step. Jolts opponents on contact and can walk them back with his bull rush, showing good leg drive. Delivers a powerful straight arm to the chest/neck area. More flexible than is typical for a player of his size. Able to use a nice rip move and bend a smooth arc back to the passer.

Plays the game with a tough, physical temperament and solid motor. Functional strength is advanced for his age and good enough to hold up against powerful tackles in the run game, with solid anchor strength. Gets good extension and shows the power in his hands to discard opponents and make stops. Gives a good effort in pursuit and closes quickly when he finds a lane to the ballcarrier.

Highly athletic edge who plays with a strong motor from snap to snap; brings explosiveness and urgency to the defense. Active with his hands to work his way through traffic. Plays with discipline, remembering his responsibilities in the team’s run fits. Able to chase down opponents from the backside. A pretty dangerous pass-rusher who regularly varies his approach. Gets good extension with his arms and shows solid leg drive after contact, allowing him to convert speed to power better than anticipated.
