Continue ReadingNew updated rankings for the class of 2026 shine brightly on Top Recruits in New England. In this report, I will review the 2022 season highlight film and give a short analysis of each of the newly Top ranked recruits we have identified as “Running Backs” who are balling and attend high school in the New England region.
He is ranked as the #1 running back in the class of 2026 in New England. Prep Redzone New England Northeast Regional Director Scout; Vic Castilo previewed his film prior to the rankings and was happy to bring some insight to this kid’s tape, presumably the first in the nation to do so.rn“Craig” has five single-game tapes to his name, each showcasing what he provides Avon Old Farms out of the backfield. AOF wants to spread a defense out, AOF utilized Craig as the off-set back in shotgun sets. AOF makes sure they get Craig in space, dumping passes off to him in the flat or giving him toss opportunities where he can show off his acceleration. If Craig is one on one inside the red zone, you can trust he’s going to beat his man for a score. Awesome initial burst upfield, his acceleration ability forces defenders to play off his first gear, once Craig has kids where he wants them, he can chop his feet, break on a dime and make the first man miss. He’s got homerun-hitting speed to finish runs. Lateral cuts and agility are a plus. He is projected as a solid Division 1 FBS recruit and currently holds multiple power 5 offers. He earned early power 5 offers while he was still in the 8th grade.
He is ranked as the #2 running back in the class of 2026 within New England.
He plays both RB and DB. His body frame is solid, lean, and athletic. Watching him play in a live setting, I could easily tell he was a young special player and he is good in man coverage. His speed pops and his agility and versatility are of a higher caliber. He is aggressive and will deliver the boom with his reactionary skills. Once he identifies run, he has a superior burst to come up and make the play. He is also a very good RB on offense with good traits such as vision and speed, to get to the outside perimeter.
Projected and on track to be a D1 recruit after all is said and done in his high school varsity career.
He is ranked as the #3 running back in the class of 2026 within New England.
He is a physical player. Has good ball security when running with the ball. He follows his blockers well on inside runs. Has the ability to jump-cut away from defenders to get more yardage. Saw action on Varsity at Lb and RB during the 2022 season. He will also be another sophomore sensation that many will hear about in 2023. He should be a force this 2023 season after earning varsity time as a freshman last season.
Highlights
He is ranked as the #4 running back in the class of 2026 within New England. Has a nose for the end zone and knows how to find it. His film has many clips showing his skills such as speed, vision, agility, and toughness. His explosive burst and acceleration from the snap of the ball are noticeable. He can split defenders by “changing gears” in the open field. He finishes his runs with punishment and will likely win the battle. He is young and will only get much better as he continues to develop. He opened many eyes during the 2022 season and is on track to grab the spotlight during the 2023 season.
Hard-working recruit with a high ceiling!!!
