Here is a look at some names to get familiar with during the 2023 Season:
Freeman is really having a quiet but good offseason, as the senior has competed not only on the track circuit but also has been through the camp scene. After a big time showing at the National Preps Showcase in Washington that had him get an invite back to the later session with some Power 5 talent in attendance, Freeman has quietly come on to the scene. The senior shows a high level of competitiveness that was shown throughout the event. Consistently matching up with some of the top talent at the camp. The coaches stated that he got better with every rep during the event as was the most improved player at the end of the night. Freeman possess a smooth back pedal and is quick out of his transitions. He shows good hip fluidity with his ability to mirror receivers in their routes. Freeman should be one to watch this upcoming season for the Mavericks.
Twaddle-Dunham has burst onto the scene also with some amazing track stats where he is one of the top throwers in the state. He has a strong lower body that allows him to generate power through his hips at the point of contact. He shows a high aggressiveness in the way he plays the game with his ability to consistently get knock back and push defenders around. He has quick feet and can really move for a player of his size and shows good burst when getting to second level defenders. Has a strong punch that allows him to lock into defenders and completely drive them off the football. He is going to have a big year at Centennial as it would not be surprising to hear about college offers coming his way.

Kardin Halpin
Halpin is an athlete in the true sense of the word. He has the ability to play both defense and offense while making an impact at both. He has good body control and shows the ability to cover in space. Right now he projects more as a corner moving forward with good instinct that show up on film. He shows a willingness to tackle and competes for every ball thrown his way. As he continues to grow he could really be an impact player on the defensive side of the football for Borah. He has show his abilities to play on the offensive side of the ball in the 7 on 7 circuit this season and it would not be surprising to see him get some reps there.

McKenna is going to be one to watch for Borah as the younger brother is a big time football player. Already standing at 6’3” the younger Mckenna is able to really convert speed to power. More a traditional outside linebacker the incoming sophomore is throwing up ridiculous weight in the room. He is as strong as anyone in his class but has the skill to back up that strength. With the ability to really play sideline to sideline McKenna is going to be an every down player for the Lions. As he continues to grow into his frame his hand placement and block disruption will only improve. He is going to be a good on for Borah and is one to keep your eyes on for sure moving forward.
