Smith threw for 2,478 yards, 26 TDs, and, with his dual-threat ability, an additional 531 yards rushing and 7 more TDs. It was truly a special season for [player_tooltip player_id='178501' first='Tahj' last='Smith'] and the RCC Eagles, and his elite performance is a huge reason that he'll be continuing his career at Morgan State University next season. He played quarterback, defensive end, and tight end during the 2022 season, and he put up phenomenal numbers at each position. At QB, Fleming compiled nearly 1,000 total yards and 11 total touchdowns. He dominated each game with his dual-threat skills, but it's clear that he's far more efficient and productive when running the ball. He scored about 2/3 of his touchdowns with his legs. The three star recruit is primarily a defensive end, and, at that position, he racked-up 27 tackles, 8 sacks, and 14 tackles for a loss last season. The Syracuse Orange commit led the Battlefield Bobcats to an undefeated regional record and a 10-1 record overall last Fall. During the offseason, he's extremely competitive on the basketball court where he uses his size and speed equally well. Gordon received a plethora of other D1 offers from programs such as: Towson, UNCC, and ODU. However, with power five conference training, [player_tooltip player_id='369340' first='Ty' last='Gordon'] has the potential to develop into a super elite payer, so I think his commitment to Syracuse was a wise one. He delivered blanket coverage throughout his high school career, so I believe that he will instantly impact the Quakers' defensive secondary.
