Early Spring Football Standouts 2023

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Spring football is in full swing across the Natural State. We already have a few prospects that are opening plenty of eyes in the early portion of spring football. Several names you may already be familiar with. However, we have several guys that are setting the stage for a big 2023 football season in the fall. Let's get an early preview of some guys that can light up Friday nights this fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='639420' first='Marquaze' last='Parker']-Defensive Line-West Memphis-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The West Memphis prospect has opened plenty of eyes over the past few months. He gets good bend and does a great job of putting pressure on the opposing quarterback. Parker has impressive speed and has no problem using it to get into the opposing offensive backfield. However, Parker plays the run just as effectively as he does pressure the quarterback. Parker has the potential to see plenty of playing time on Saturdays in the future.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='303140' first='Harris' last='Vinson']-Athlete-Bentonville West-2025</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='303140' first='Harris' last='Vinson'] is a dynamic athlete that has the opportunity to see action on both sides of the ball. At the wide receiver position, Vinson does a great job of creating separation from opposing defensive backs. Meanwhile, at the linebacker position, Vinson fends off blocks and explodes to the ball carrier. Vinson is a player that works and constantly seeks to improve upon his craft. He is off to a great start to his spring, and I expect a big 2023 football season from Vinson.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Decari Prater-Defensive Back-Prescott-2025</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Decari Prater is another in a long line of Curley Wolves with the talent to play at the next level. Prater has tremendous versatility and can play the cornerback, safety, and quarterback positions with impressive effectiveness. Prater has put on display his speed with the Prescott track team this offseason and looks geared for the upcoming football season. We will discuss Prater some more over the weekend in the upcoming recruiting article. He has the power to drive an opposing defensive lineman to the ground. Huie is a versatile offensive lineman that can play the guard or tackle positions for Clinton. He has the speed to get out front on sweeps and option plays. He has approached the spring football practices ready to work and I expect a strong 2023 season from Huie.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='586869' first='Dorien' last='Bowers']-Quarterback-Fayetteville-2026</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Fayetteville Bulldogs have several talented quarterbacks on the roster this spring. Bowers has looked sharp this spring. He has fit the ball into some tight windows and has ran the Fayetteville offense well. Bowers is an athletic quarterback that moves around well in the pocket. He is a quarterback prospect to watch out for over the next few seasons. Bowers has approached the spring football period well. He is a prospect to watch out for on Fridays in the future.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='202575' first='Kane' last='Archer']-Quarterback-Greenwood-2026</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Greenwood signal caller is attracting plenty of attention in the form of college scouts this spring football period. Archer has a strong arm, and he connects with his wide receivers easily. He has the ability to fit the ball into some tight windows. Archer is putting in the work and is shaping up to have a strong 2023 season for the Bulldogs. He is a prospect to watch this upcoming season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
