Today we’ll be reviewing four of the best returning weapons in the OK-Green, and discuss what they could offer to their team this coming season.
QB/ATH | M’khi Guy M’khi Guy 5'7" | 165 lbs | ATH Muskegon | 2024 State MI | Muskegon | Hudl
Before the 2022 season, I said a lot about how M’khi Guy M’khi Guy 5'7" | 165 lbs | ATH Muskegon | 2024 State MI is an underrated sleeping giant. I was correct, as the electric Guy led Muskegon to a share of 1st place in the Green and a trip to Ford Field, defeating teams like Zeeland West and DeWitt along the way. Although Guy very likely won’t play Quarterback in college, his abilities are showcased and fit extremely well at Muskegon. I still think Guy is a bit underrated, and he’s a college-ready athlete in both football and basketball. Very excited to see what Guy can do for the Big Reds for his upcoming season, and I know Muskegon will be one of (if not the #1) favorite to win a State Championship with the senior talent they have.
RB | Tomarion Steward Tomarion Steward 5'11" | 200 lbs | RB Mona Shores | 2026 MI | Mona Shores | Hudl
This may be a bit of a wager to say a 2026 recruit with little time on Varsity is one of the best returners in the entire league, but I’m confident Tomarion will soon be one of the best RBs in Michigan. Tomarion has been on my radar for some time, and he even caught the attention of our scouts over at Prep Redzone Next a few years back. With his size (5’11 210) and strength (515 DL, 425 Sqt, 245 bench), I can see him wearing down defenses easily. In fact, if I saw him across from me on a Rugby pitch, I’d have to take a deep breath and psych myself up.
RB | Parker Holman Parker Holman 5'8" | 160 lbs | RB Zeeland West | 2024 State MI | Zeeland West | Hudl
Last season, Parker proved to be one of the most statistically dominant RBs in Michigan, even earning him an All-State selection. Speed is Parker’s game, as he is a great north-south runner who gets to his holes quickly and absolutely takes off multiple times per game. This kind of running back on a T-Wing offense is immensely difficult to keep in check, and I have no doubt Parker will continue to dominate one of the best leagues in Michigan.
RB | Brody Johnson Brody Johnson 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB RP | 2024 State MI | Reeths-Puffer | Hudl
Brody Johnson Brody Johnson 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB RP | 2024 State MI over the past two years has been an incredibly reliable, tough, and productive Running Back. Listen, I don’t think any of his physical traits are going to blow you away (they aren’t bad though), but the toughness and IQ he plays with is super nice to see. Playing in a more balanced offensive system, Brody is the 3-down back for RP and makes the most of every carry. Brody’s biggest visible strengths are being able to keep his feet moving through hits, being able to absorb contact better than most his size, and having great vision. As I said earlier, Brody also has great toughness and a competitive drive that I’ve seen first-hand. Reeths-Puffer is one of those teams that’s been showing a ton of promise and overall improvement, and Brody is playing a key role in setting the new standard.
