4A Preseason 1st & 2nd Team All State Defense

As most know, all state selections are heavily dictated by team success. If your HS program is winning, you're much more likely to receive this type of recognition. This is NOT a recruitment-based list although many of the top recruits are listed as all state athletes. Have a look at the pre-season 1st & 2nd team all state picks as of right now, along with the leading candidates for 4A Washington Defensive POY honors.       Defensive POY Candidates (#1-3)         1.[player_tooltip player_id='693684' first='Gavin' last='Packer'] 5-10 170 ATH/CB  25' Skyview   The Storm are going to be one of the top 4A teams in the state this coming season, with packing one of the only underclassmen in the NW to earn 1st team all-league honors on both sides of the football. Expect him to be dominant on O but also make some special plays in the secondary with the Skyview defensive front being a problem for opponents.    2.[player_tooltip player_id='693679' first='Peyton' last='Cunningham'] 6-1 180 DB/ATH 25' North Creek    Cunningham is one of the few athletes in the NW with a chance to be the player of the year on both sides of the football. His 2 INTs, 2 forced fumbles, and 35 tackles were just a glimpse of his potential from a season ago. Hopefully his cardio is in check as he will rarely leave the field in the always tough Kinco conference.    3.[player_tooltip player_id='348147' first='Zaydrius' last='Rainey-Sale'] 6-3 215 LB 25' Bethel    One of the fastest rising stocks of any player in Washington. The 4* Rainey-Sale is the real deal and could end up being one of the most recruited LB's in the country for his class.
