Prep Redzone takes a look…
Logan Brooking Logan Brooking 6'4" | 220 lbs | LB Savannah Christian | 2025 State GA – Savannah Christian
A nasty, mean EDGE defender who knows how to deliver a hit, the sophomore from Savannah plays a lot like his father, former Atlanta Falcon linebacker Keith Brooking. A physical-looking defender for his age with an SEC-caliber frame at 6-foot-4 215-pounds, the playmaking defender reeled in a new SEC offer this week from the Florida Gators. Brooking may play on the EDGE, but he plays like a natural linebacker, shedding blocks with ease with the ability to get after the quarterback as well. He’s an excellent pass-rusher and leaves a bruise when he gets there. He lived in the backfield last season, making 66 total tackles with 15 of them coming behind the line of scrimmage. He also added 12 sacks and forced one fumble. We knew the offers would come in, and in addition to his newest offer from Florida, Brooking also earned recent offers from Michigan, East Carolina, and Iowa State. Look for his ranking to rise more and more in the latest 2025 update.
James Johnson James Johnson 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Douglas County | 2025 State GA – WR – Douglas County
An impressive Atlanta-area receiver on the rise, Johnson is adding left and right this spring after an excellent sophomore season due to his strong hands and ability to run a crisp route. It’s hard to find an impressive sophomore route-runner, but that’s exactly what the 6-foot-0 175-pounder brings to the table. A smooth runner who can change directions well and throw defenders off balance, Johnson someone who can consistently get open and make big plays down the field. He tracks the ball well in the air and makes it look easy at times. The Douglas County standout has had a really impressive spring, and he earned a new SEC offer this week from Mississippi State. He caught 31 passes for 614 yards ad three touchdowns last year and should see those numbers increase in a big way as a junior next fall. Like Brooking, look for Johnson to see his ranking rise in the latest Prep Redzone update for the 2025 class.
Chandler Jordan – ATH – North Gwinnett
One of the hottest defensive back prospects in Gwinnett County right now, Jordan’s stock is soaring and he recently earned a big SEC offer this week from the Auburn Tigers. A reliable, instinctive defensive back for his age, Jordan has good size at 6-foot-3 190-pounds and played with a physical presence. That’s hard to do for a sophomore in 7A ball, but Jordan made it happen last year. He’s a tough, hard-hitting defensive back who roams the back end very well. He closes well in coverage down the field and knows how to make a play on the football. As a sophomore last year, Jordan made 63 tackles, 9 TFLs, one sack, and one INT that was returned for a touchdown. He’s stout against the run, taking good angles to the ball-carrier and while consistently making a secure tackle. There’s a lot to like about his game, and he should see more offers come his way sooner than later.
Amauri “Juice” Anderson – RB – Alpharetta
A speedy back with breakaway speed, Anderson was pleasant bright spot for the Alpharetta Raider offense last season as a sophomore, and his recruitment is really starting to take off. An Arkansas native, the 5-foot-10 175-pounder earned a major offer this week from his hometown Arkansas Razorback. In a backup role in 2022, Anderson showed big-play ability, rushing for 441 yards on just 62 carries for an impressive 7.1 yards per carry. Last year’s leading rusher has graduated, so Anderson should see plenty of opportunities to carry the ball and light up the stat sheet as a junior in 2023. He’s one of the top returning backs in the region, and he could see more offers come his way this off-season.
