The overall IQ of this prospect is above average, as he understands how to find the holes in the defensive scheme. Herald has excellent ball-tracking skills, and he has the hands to go along with them as well. Zamir does a good job running routes and has good enough footwork to find himself open quite often. He has the intangibles, but if he wants to be among the elite, he has to increase his speed this offseason. This do-it prospect at WR is one to watch throughout the summer and fall.
Jaylen Hampton – New Hampstead (GA) – 2024 WR
Hampton is a very explosive wideout who understands how to use his start and stop speed. Jaylen stands at 6’2 and weighs 185 lbs, and is a one-on-one nightmare for safeties and linebackers. His route running has improved this offseason, as Jaylen had a good outing at the Rivals camp recently. One part of Hampton’s game that is also impressive is his hand-eye coordination, and he understands how to contort his body to adjust to late and overthrown balls. Heading into the camp season, he has several new offers, but you can expect power five schools to start fishing in his pond soon.
Brady Wagner – Grapevine (TX) – 2024 TE
Wagner is a scrappy, tough, off-the-ball TE (H-Back) who understands his assignments. On film, you can see his athleticism from play one as he uses his 6’4, 220 lb frame to levitate to make an acrobatic touchdown catch. His catch radius is broad, and he can slip out of the backfield or line up wide and hurt teams at the next level in the passing game. Brady uses his speed and toughness when he pulls from his H-Back position to create lanes and engages well with the target. Blocking seems natural for Brady as he enjoys finishing off defenders. Wagner has been picking up mid-major D1 offers since March and expects to see more traction this summer with this prospect.
Alex McClelland – Barrington (RI) – 2024 QB
When you play 7v7 football for Cam Newton, that is one thing, but when you win MVP, that’s another! McClelland has been an overnight sensation with viral passes with pinpoint placement to get his team the tournament championship. Alex is a dominant two-way QB that plays in a multiple-set offense, with most of it being veer/option based. In one of the clips from the 7v7 tournament, you can see his athleticism as a blitz was on, and he made an unbelievable throw on the run, so I had to watch the film. On film, he gets it done in Rhode Island, on the ground, and in the air. I look forward to seeing him in front of D1 coaches this camp season.
