Spring Under The Radar Spotlight

These players are all talented and have college level ability. Last season was his first time playing football and he showed flashes of being a very effective player. In 10 games last season he registered 22 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 11 QB hurries, 1 INT and 2 forced fumbles. McKenzie is one of the top returning backs in the district after leading the team with 880 yards, averaging 8.5 yd per carry with 9 touchdowns and 4-100 yd rushing games. He also</em></strong> <strong><em>chipped in with 14 catches for 192 yards and a touchdown. Mackenzie is a 3-down back that is really effective in the passing game showing natural hands, he changes directions without losing speed and possesses good vision to consistently find the crease. Really good athlete that could play on either side of the ball and registered 70 tackles and 1 INT on defense. Last season he was the leading receiver for a high powered passing attack that led the Vikings to the state semifinals. Turner finished the season with 44 catches for 796 yards and 7 touchdowns. Turner is very crafty generating separation at the top of his routes, does a good job tracking the ball in the air, and shows the acceleration and speed to be able to split the defense for big gains. Lockett was an effective player last season for the Eagles and shows natural running ability and instincts in the open field, does a good job finding the cutback lane and has the speed to take it to the house once he sees an opening. Good student with a 3 1 GPA.
