Slaughter had 49 tackles and one for a loss at Bishop Amat last season.
He chose San Diego State over 17 other schools that offered him including LSU, Ole Miss and Oregon among others.
Slaughter is the third player from California in San Diego State’s 2024 recruiting class, joining Danny Niu Danny Niu 6’0″ | 215 lbs | ATH Serra – San Mateo | 2024 State CA of Serra (San Mateo) and Stacy Bey Stacy Bey 6’0″ | 215 lbs | ATH Rancho Cucamonga | 2024 State CA of Rancho Cucamonga.

Carlsbad linebacker Luke Ferrelli Luke Ferrelli 6’3″ | 220 lbs | LB Carlsbad | 2024 State CA announced his commitment to Arizona on Saturday.
Ferrelli had 73 tackles with 13.5 tackles for a loss, 3 sacks and a forced fumble last season.
He chose Arizona over 12 other schools that offered him including Nevada and Utah State among others.
Ferrelli is the third player from California in Arizona’s 2024 recruiting class.
Highlights
Serra of Gardena defensive back Dakoda Fields Dakoda Fields 6’3″ | 185 lbs | DB Serra | 2024 State CA picked up an offer from Nebraska last week.
Fields was at the Under Armour Next Camp on Sunday and performed well against a very good crop of receivers.
He is up to 26 offers now including Alabama, LSU, Ohio State and USC among others.
Fields has a multi-day visit to Oregon coming up on April 10-12.
Tesoro running back Travis Wood Travis Wood 5’10” | 215 lbs | RB Tesoro | 2024 State CA picked up an offer from Air Force last week.
Air Force is the third Division 1 school to offer Wood, joining Campbell and Houston Christian.
Wood ran for 1,335 yards and 12 touchdowns in 11 games for Tesoro last season. His father Joe played football at Air Force.

Byron Rivas
Granite Hills (Apple Valley) quarterback Byron Rivas announced his commitment to the University of Saint Mary last Thursday.
Rivas threw for 1934 yards with 26 touchdowns and four interceptions for Granite Hills last season.
He had other lower level offers from schools like Doane and Puget Sound among others.
