High school football and recruiting are a year-round process, with new prospects opening the eyes of coaches, media and fans every single day.

Prep Redzone Louisiana's latest rankings updates wrapped up last month, but more student-athletes are popping onto the radar and watch lists to monitor heading into the next round of updates this summer.

Here are six more current juniors to keep an eye as we receive more film and get out to spring practices on the horizon later this month.

Charles Gurley III — 6-1, 170 DB — St. Augustine

The first of a pair of New Orleans defensive backs on this list starting to garner some recruiting attention during a solid spring on the 7-on-7 circuit, Gurley is a long, fluid cornerback with enough size and physicality to play all over the secondary. And he has been working on his speed with a recently posted sub-4.6-second 40-yard dash and goals to get down to 4.5 seconds by summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='741206' first='Caden' last='Jacob'] — 6-2, 195 QB — Mandeville

The former Hammond High quarterback is now a bit farther west at Mandeville where he'll bring a good frame and arm, patient approach to take what defenses give and the athleticism to extend plays to an offense with some good weapons around him.

Shavez Morris — 6-0, 180 DB — Edna Karr

Morris has been consistently impressive this spring on the 7-on-7 circuit blanketing talented wide receivers from all over the country. He is a smooth, quick slot corner who plays with good patience and instincts in both man and zone and shows explosive breaks on passes in his area or ball-carriers as a strong tackler that should also make him versatile to potentially play some safety.

Trey Tate — 6-2, 185 WR — St. Louis Catholic

The Saints' pass-catcher is an explosive athlete with good size, a listed 4.46-second 40-yard dash and a clear focus on his releases and route-running that shows as a clear strength on the field. And Tate, who has also played basketball for St. Louis, does a nice job adjusting to the ball in the air and catching balls thrown a bit behind him or otherwise slightly off-target.

Marshawn Whitley — 6-0, 185 WR/ATH — Franklin Parish

One of the Patriots' intriguing under-the-radar prospects starting to garner some attention this spring, Whitley is another athletic pass-catcher whose explosiveness in his route-running and with the ball in his hands consistently stands out. The multisport standout, who also competes in basketball and track, also does a nice job of using his body to shield and create enough space on tight, contested catches

Bradley Wright — 5-9, 160 WR — Catholic (Baton Rouge)

The Bears used Wright's speed, listed at a 4.41-second 40-yard dash and on full display against some of the state's top competition, as a weapon all over the field this fall — inside, outside, out of the backfield and in the return game — as a perfect complement to big LSU-bound [player_tooltip player_id='138438' first='Shelton' last='Sampson'] Jr. He recently earned his first scholarship offer from Southeastern Louisiana.
