Returning for the Wolverines this season, Payne is just beginning to scratch the surface of his talents. When he is operating under center this young man does a great job of taking what the defense gives him. He is also very good at reading the pocket and has top notch speed to escape elite pass rushers. Where I think he will play at the next level is at defensive back, just watching the 3 games he appeared at corner for Woodgrove last year showed me why. While he is certainly a talented quarterback, his presence in the Wolverines secondary goes a long way. Love watching this kid run with the football he has tremendous vision and you better not tackle him high or he'll make you pay.
