Recruiting News and Notes 4-16-23

Spring weekends in the Natural State prove to be extremely busy from a recruiting perspective every year.  Meanwhile, we are also going to look at several prospects that had the opportunity to visit schools in Texas as well. It was a busy weekend and let's finish off the weekend with everything making recruiting news over the past couple of days.   [player_tooltip player_id='149578' first='Bo' last='Williams']-Running Back-Shiloh Christian-2024   [player_tooltip player_id='149578' first='Bo' last='Williams'] is a running back that does everything ask of him in the Shiloh Christian offense. Williams does a great job of allowing rushing lanes to develop. He is not afraid to run between the tackles or cut the run to the outside. Williams had the opportunity this weekend to visit the TCU campus and coaching staff. Williams has had a tremendous high school career and I expect a strong senior season from the Saints' running back.   [player_tooltip player_id='690378' first='Terence' last='Roberson']-Offensive Line-Warren-2024   The Warren Lumberjacks always have plenty of talented players coming up through the ranks and the 2024 class is no exception. Roberson is a devasting run blocker and can clear a rushing lane with little effort. Roberson does an impressive job as a pass blocker as well. He uses his power well to keep opposing pass rushers off the quarterback. Roberson had the opportunity to visit Arkansas Tech over the weekend. He's an offensive lineman to watch out for this upcoming season.   [player_tooltip player_id='434090' first='Alex' last='Martin']-Defensive Line-Little Rock Parkview-2024   [player_tooltip player_id='434090' first='Alex' last='Martin'] is a defensive lineman with the talent to completely take over a game if not accounted for on the field. He has impressive quickness that mixes well with his power. Martin has the versatility to play the tackle or edge positions with plenty of effectiveness. The Parkview defensive lineman had the chance to visit the Kansas State Wildcats over the weekend. Martin is a prospect to watch this upcoming season.   [player_tooltip player_id='337883' first='Drake' last='Fowler']-Defensive Back-Bryant-2024   The Bryant defensive back is a prospect that has continued to open eyes since the state playoffs. Fowler is a prospect that can play the safety or cornerback positions and excel at each. He is not afraid of getting physical with opposing wide receivers. Fowler has impressive speed and does a great job of making plays on the ball. Fowler had the opportunity over the weekend to visit the TCU coaching staff. Fowler is one defensive back everyone should keep an eye on this season.   [player_tooltip player_id='328727' first='Caleb' last='Turic']-Linebacker-Pottsville-2025   [player_tooltip player_id='328727' first='Caleb' last='Turic'] is a linebacker that opposing teams must account for on the field. He has the ability to disrupt a play completely. Turic does an impressive job of playing both the run and the pass and does a good job of defeating blocks to get to the ball carrier. Plenty of colleges are already taking note of the talented linebacker. Tennessee-Chattanooga has made contact with Turic and will be recruiting over the next few months. He is a prospect to watch out for over the next two seasons.   [player_tooltip player_id='361302' first='Grayson' last='Wilson']-Quarterback-Central Arkansas Christian-2025.   The state of Arkansas has tremendously talented quarterbacks coming up through the ranks over the next few classes. [player_tooltip player_id='361302' first='Grayson' last='Wilson'] is a quarterback that does an excellent job of fitting the ball into some tight windows. He has the arm strength to be able to throw his wide receivers open. Wilson visited Fayetteville over the weekend. He attended the Arkansas spring football camp and placed a commitment with the Razorbacks. The multi-sport star is someone to watch out for over the next two seasons.   Austyn Dendy-Running Back-Pine Bluff-2024   The Pine Bluff Zebras are a talented football team. Austyn Dendy is a running back that does an excellent job of running between the tackles. He has the speed to cut the run to the outside and he will not be brought down on initial contact. Over the past few weeks, the talented running back has had the opportunity to visit Tulsa and Arkansas. Dendy is a running back to watch this upcoming season. I expect another strong season from the talented Pine Bluff running back.
