The latest ranking update really shook things up. I wanted to highlight some of the more under-the-radar players within the top 20. These are players that have been performing at a high level, some since their freshman seasons, and have consistently impressed in tape and in person.
Check out these 5 Under-the-Radar prospects in the top 20.
Garin Maley Garin Maley 6'6" | 250 lbs | OL Papillion-La Vista | 2025 State NE | OL | Papillion-La Vista | 6’6″ 240 lbs
Papillion-La Vista’s Garin Maley Garin Maley 6'6" | 250 lbs | OL Papillion-La Vista | 2025 State NE put together an impressive first year as the starting left tackle and was one of the biggest risers in the latest update. Maley is a player that is still green in some areas but possesses a high-ceiling with his measurables and quickness. What impressed from Garin’s game is his pass blocking ability. He uses his length very well and can take on speedier DEs and has the strength to manhandle smaller linebackers coming off the edge. Maley moves well into the second and third level and does a great job keeping his eyes up looking for defenders. He has a solid anchor and will only continue to add to his frame and get stronger. Very high ceiling player that could be a monster in 2023.
Keynan Cotton Keynan Cotton 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE | ATH | Omaha Westside | 5’10” 185 lbs
Somewhat hidden among the several elite players on the Westside roster, is ATH Keynan Cotton Keynan Cotton 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE . Keynan is one of the top overall athletes in the 2025 class with his versatility on the field. Cotton was a standout player in all three phases of the game, recording 21 receptions for 219 yards, 3 touchdowns, 39 tackles, three pass break ups, two interceptions, and averaged nearly 16 yards per punt return. Keynan is a top tier cover corner with fluid hips/feet and ability to mirror receivers. He can get physical with receivers and is very savvy with his hand usage. Offensively, Keynan is no slouch at receiver either, showing off crisp routes and explosive change of direction. He had a huge touchdown play in the state championship resulting from a great route and then cranking on his track speed to break away. Keynan is one of the twitchiest athletes in his class and can create lanes and space for himself with a quick adjustment. Smart, athletic, versatile player with a tremendously high ceiling!
Titan Glassman Titan Glassman 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE | WR | Omaha North | 6’0″ 175 lbs
Titan flourished in his first season with the Vikings. The sophomore receiver took advantage of his chemistry with fellow transfer, Sebastian Circo Sebastian Circo 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Millard North | 2025 FL , to finish with 32 receptions for 500 receiving yards. Titan is a technician with his routes and is among the best route running receivers in the state. His footwork and sharpness with his routes allow him to create separation with ease. Titan has a great understanding of route concepts and is able to exploit the weaknesses in the opposing defense. One reason he became such a hot pass-catching target for the Vikings is because of how great he is at the catch point. Titan does a great job following through the process and able to hold on through contact and staying focused in traffic. Glassman mostly plays receiver but has also shown great instincts and ball skills at safety. Type of receiver you can plug in and he’ll be his QBs favorite target in no time.
Cole Erickson Cole Erickson 6'4" | 225 lbs | DL Lincoln Southwest | 2025 State NE | DL | Lincoln Southwest | 6’4″ 215 lbs
I don’t think offenses are ready for an even bigger dose of Cole Erickson Cole Erickson 6'4" | 225 lbs | DL Lincoln Southwest | 2025 State NE on the defensive line. Last season Cole carved out a solid role amongst a great DL group for the Silver Hawks. Erickson finished his season with 33 tackles and 3 tackles for loss while being a constant headache for opposing backfields. The thing that stood out the most in Cole’s tape was his explosiveness from snap to whistle. He fires out of his stance, makes impactful first contact, and can shut down his assigned gaps. Erickson is an interesting DL prospect because of his versatility as a rusher. He possesses great strength and can jam lineman at the line or he can dip into his speed moves while using violent hands and hips to disengage. He also uses his length very well and can create separation when rushing off the edge. Erickson is set to be a huge riser and a player that could start making recruitment noise this offseason.
Dawson Amick Dawson Amick 6'3" | 275 lbs | OL Battle Creek | 2025 State NE | OL/DL | Battle Creek | 6’4″ 250 lbs
A standout two-way player with the ability to play either position at the next level. Battle Creek is set for the next couple of years with bookend left tackle Dawson Amick Dawson Amick 6'3" | 275 lbs | OL Battle Creek | 2025 State NE . Dawson is a flat-out mean player that loves to get after it regardless of what side he’s on. At LT, Dawson looks well rounded with quick his feet in pass blocking and a bulldozing run blocker. He does a great job with his hand placement and body positioning. What stands out is his athleticism and how well he moves on the field, getting up to the second level to seal off linebackers. He uses his hands violently, can gain inside leverage quickly, and has the explosiveness in his hips and upper body to upend defenders. Offense or defense, Dawson knows how to win the edge. Defensively, I like how aggressive he is at the point of attack and how well he can track the ball even when engaged with a blocker. He has an insanely deep bag of rush moves that he uses to win 1v1s. Dawson finished his sophomore season with 44 tackles and a sack and will likely continue to build on that next season. Don’t let this guy slip!
