One of the sneaky good athletes in this class. Boone Central's [player_tooltip player_id='340512' first='Brant' last='Benes'] has been a solid producer since his sophomore year. Brant made a huge jump in his junior year, finishing the season with 21 receptions, 406 yards, five touchdowns, and even flashed as a returner with 341 kickoff return yards. Despite playing in a run-first offense, Brant consistently runs clean routes and has shown the ability to create separation from defenders. Brant displays great footwork, and it really shows in his routes and in coverage. He's reliable at the point of the catch and makes sure to follow through with the catch process. Brant is also an asset as a blocker in the run game, able to clear defenders on the outside to create lanes for his RB. Defensively, Brant also played great in coverage, able to switch directions and flip his hips fluidly. He can play the ball well, and it shows with his seven pass break ups. High potential player!

Just get this guy on the field and let him WORK!! Clay is an absolute gamer that plays with an intense motor no matter where you line him up. He played mostly DL & OL but also showed the athleticism to line up as a fullback in the backfield and as an in-line tight end on some plays. Hedges plays with a lot of physicality and can bring the fight on either side of the ball. I really liked his play on the defensive line, where he displayed an explosive first step and gets right after the ball at the snap. He is a strong player that can generate a great initial push and force his way into the backfield. Clay finished the season with 60 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and a fumble recovery. He is a tremendous blocker on offense that can clear up second-level defenders. Saw several plays of him getting a full head of steam on pull blocks and exploding through his opponent before turning up and looking for more work. A great athlete overall, a standout on the baseball diamond and wrestling mats!

Ashland-Greenwood LB/ATH, [player_tooltip player_id='340511' first='Ty' last='Carey'], is a player I think we could see make some huge strides this offseason. Carey finished his season with 39 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, and two pass breakups. Ty will likely play outside linebacker at the next level but has also shown flashes at tight end. He's a tall player that attacks the edge hard and can use his length to create separation at the LOS. He didn't have a ton of pass-catching opportunities this season, but from watching him at previous 7v7 games, I know he has the hands to be a threat over the middle and in short-down situations. High-ceiling player!

A hidden gem in Class C2! The Cardinals must be glad to have back [player_tooltip player_id='704086' first='Kaedan' last='Detamore'], who is top 10 in receiving yards among returning players and one of their best defenders. Detamore finished his junior campaign with 51 receptions for 757 receiving yards, six touchdowns, 59 tackles, five tackles for loss, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles, two blocked kicks, and an interception. I was really impressed with his play at safety. He is a well-rounded defender that does great in coverage and is a huge asset against the run. Kaedan has zero issues stepping up into the box to take on RBs. He has great range, closing speed, and is a reliable tackler in space. On offense, he finds ways to get open, especially between the hashes, where he constantly picks at dead spots in coverage. He is also great after the catch, with a solid burst when he turns upfield. Monster sleeper!!

Another two-way standout that is set to rise this offseason is Kearney Catholic's, [player_tooltip player_id='704087' first='Garrett' last='O'Hare']. Garrett shined in the trenches for the Stars but really showed out on defense. He finished his junior season with 49 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Garrett's pursuit and explosiveness off the line are impressive to watch. He has a quick get-off which helps him fly past slower tackles, and he has the lateral quickness to chase down QB/RBs in the backfield. Garrett is most effective when he can line up outside the tackles but can also play the 4-4i tech. His play recognition and ability to adjust on the fly (some very nice plays against screen passes) also showed his high football IQ. A solid overall player that could play at the next level on either side of the ball.
