The Prep Redzone Carolinas Showcase featured some great talent competing hard in front of college coaches. Several players stood out to the scouts and coaches in attendance, let's take a look at the quarterbacks and running backs here.

2024 QB [player_tooltip player_id='203888' first='Mason' last='Fortune'] - Millbrook High School - Mason is a standout QB in this 2024 class in the state of North Carolina. He moved well during the testing/agility portion of the camp, well enough to say that he is not just a pocket quarterback. I loved the velocity in which he threw the football consistently throughout the day, he has a strong arm and some very good accuracy to go with it. Throwing for over 4000 yards is a major accomplishment, and he was clearly one of the better quarterbacks in attendance.

2025 QB Elijah Oehlke - Grays Creek High School - I got to know Elijah a good bit in an interview we did a short time ago, and it was really cool to see all of his strengths on film translate to the field. He is stoutly built at 6'2 and 190 pounds, and he has a good arm that can easily get the ball downfield for big play opportunities. He moved well during the testing portion of the camp, and with him going into his junior year, I can see some colleges really gaining interest in him given his talented overall skill set.

2026 RB [player_tooltip player_id='612107' first='Jayden' last='Nordtveit'] - North Iredell High School - I was just shocked to learn this young man was a freshman last season. In my honest opinion, he was the bes[player_tooltip player_id='246436' first='t' last='r']unning back in attendance. The fluidity in which he moved with the ball in his hands was impressive. He has good technique in carrying the football, as well as exploding out of cuts in the running game. He showed excellent ability in being able to win on 1 on 1 routes versus linebackers consistently, and he caught the ball naturally, never fighting it at all. I expect this young man to be a focal point of his team's offense for sure next season.

2025 RB [player_tooltip player_id='781303' first='Jayden' last='Williams'] - Butler High School - At 5'9 and 190 pounds, I was impressed with how well Jayden moved at his size. At first glance, he looks like a playe[player_tooltip player_id='713060' first='r' last='t']hat is a bell-cow and just will run over you consistently instead of running away from you. But as the day went along, he got better and better and ended up being named one of the bes[player_tooltip player_id='246436' first='t' last='r']unning backs in this showcase. Jayden has some good feet and caught the ball really well out of the backfield. I could see maybe an H-Back type of role in his immediate future as he continues to grow into the player he will ultimately become for Butler.
