Jakylen Judon
Jakylen Judon is a prospect out of the 2024 class that excels at making plays on both sides of the rock. Defensively, he is a reliable, natural defender at the linebacker spot who lines up at inside and outside backer. His reads are decisive and Jakylen has a quick first step on his get offs, as well as on his read step. This kid is a sure tackler. Jakylen relentlessly flies off the edge to make plays in the backfield, often. Offensively, Judon mans the running back spot with authority. He is a power back that has a strong core and the ability to break initial tackles attempted by defenders. Jakylen is also effective as a pass catcher out of the back field. This kid is a natural ball player that has shown the ability to assert himself as a threat on both sides of the ball. This fall will be a money year for Judon. Meaning, not only does he has to back up what he has done, but he has well as surpass his normal productivity. I’m certain he will!
William Johnson
William Johnson
William Johnson is a 2024 Wide Receiver prospect out of Terry HS with a great frame and reliable hands. Will is able to get open on a consistent basis with meaningful routes that are void of wasted movement. He is a smart football player that understands spacing. Johnson has long arms, and a wide catch radius that allows him to snatch passes out of the air. His deceptive speed aides Johnson in getting out of his breaks in a hurry. His straight line acceleration is even more impressive, all of that being said, he has respectable run after catch ability. William has the innate ability to locate the ball in the air without breaking stride. Overall, William Johnson is a prospect that has the opportunity to put up some decent numbers as he becomes a primary target and pairs with ATH Jakevion Jones. I expect him to get bigger, faster, and stronger this summer to help ensure his success heading into a pivotal Senior season.
Joshua Coakley
Joshua Coakley
Joshua Coakley is an undersized Defensive End that I can see blossoming as a late bloomer this fall. Coakley had a respectable Junior campaign. Joshua showed the ability to set the edge and use his hands in order to shed blocks. His slight frame allows him to move well in tight spaces to make plays in the interior. Joshua is also a constant contributor on special teams. He was able to put some good things on tape, but he needs to be more disruptive in terms of his presence this fall. If he does this and continues to add weight he can be a pivotal factor for Clinton Christian defensively.
Doug Jones
Doug Jones
Doug Jones is a playmaking defensive prospect out of the 2024 Class by way of Houston. At just under 6’1 and weighing 215 pounds, Jones has a good frame for his position. Doug flies around the field to make plays without cease for that Hilltopper team. As a Junior, he accumulated 160 tackles in his Region 2-4A Defensive MVP/Super 22 run this past season. This type of ridiculous stat total due to Doug’s skill-set, his motor, and his ability to process what he sees quickly. Jones displayed great mobility and closing speed when zeroing in to stifle defenders. He’s an unconventional tackler in terms of style, but his physicality aids him where is technically deficient. This kid has a high ceiling and all of the characteristics that you want in a starting Linebacker. He is physical, fast, and tough! Doug is a hard-working young prospect that will surely improve his stock this off-season and have a stellar Senior campaign.
Ca’Ron Williams
Ca’Ron Williams
Ca’ron Williams is a slimly built but shifty Wide Receiver who’s listed as an Athlete(ATH) for the Natchez Bulldogs. This kid is used in a variation of ways within his teams Offensive scheme. Rightfully so, Williams has speed that translates well onto the field. As a route runner, he can stop and start on a dime to create space within the Defensive secondary. Ca’ron also can execute on bubbles, tunnel screens, speed sweeps, and several other variations of the quick game. In other words, Ca’ron simply needs the ball in his hands in space and he will make plays. He also judges the ball in the air well to catches with a high degree of difficulty. This kid is a budding athlete that has exceptional balance, acceleration, and body control. Williams will likely be the primary target within Natchez’s passing attack for the season this fall. Look for him to improve on his numbers last year while gaining attention and notoriety in the process.
