Continue ReadingStevenson is now at Starkville High. He has performed well at his last two schools. This will be the year he gets recognized as one of the state best RB. He is a complete back with great size and speed. Stevenson can play with speed and power. He had over 2k rushing yards and 33tds last season. Steveson played on defense adding 84 tackles and 2 defensive touchdowns. One of the touchdowns was a 100 yard int. His style of running reminds me of Ezekiel Elliott during his Ohio State days. If you can get out to Starkville on a Friday night go see this kid play.
Chance Jenkins
Chance Jenkins
Chance is one of those kids who you can see the talent is there. This year will be his break out season. With a new QB on the scene that has great arm strength Jenkins should be able to be a deep threat. He ran a 4.41 and has been putting in work this spring. His time should improve right alone with his WR skills. Looking at his sophomore season you can see he was just a big play waiting to happen.
Trisin Purnell
Trisin Purnell
Purnell is a possession WR so he is not going to wow you with speed. What he will do is catch everything he gets his hands on. He only had 29 catches for 594 yards and 7 touchdowns. The numbers dont just say he is the one thats because Winona is a heavy run team. Purnell might have to go JUCO first. What you’re gonna get from this kid is 100% game ready and when the game is on the line he is ready to step up. He is looking to add weight this off-season and improve his route running. A student of the game who understand he has to make up for the speed.
This young man had an amazing season. How can he top that? The only thing I can think of is to win a state championship. His numbers are misleading but he is a field leader. He led his team to the state championship. Film studies shows he has good football IQ and arm strength. His off-season work will be seen on the field. I believe he will have 25tds passing and over 2300 passing yards this upcoming season. He will only make the players around him better.
