2022 Recap:

Hempfield had a good season last year as they hit many of there goals by going 9-3, winning Section 1 Lancaster-Lebanon Title and winning a PIAA playoff game. Hempfield also beat Manheim Township and Wilson in the same season for a first time in a long time. They also beat Manheim Township for the 2nd season in a row. Hempfield's disappoitment was in the 2nd round of the PIAA State Playoffs when Manheim Township avenged there lose against Hempfield from earlier in the year to beat them at home. Still a very good season for Hempfield and something to build on for Hempfield.

Coaching Update:

George Eager just finished his 3rd year as Head Football coach. His first season Hempfield went 4-4 in a Covid short season. His 2nd year Eager's squad was 7-5, and finally this past season 9-3. So 20-12 record for his 1st 3 years of coaching Hempfield in the super competitive Section 1 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League is a good start as a Head Coach.

Quote:

"This past season was the result of a senior class who bought in for three years. Their hard work paid off and they left Hempfield football in a better position moving forward. They reinvigorated the community and can leave the program proud of their accomplishments". Head Coach George Eager,

2023 Outlook:

The good news for Hempfield is they bring back some key returners from last years successful season. Deyvid PalePale is one of the best defensive lineman in the country. He is a dominant force who should have a good chance to improve even more. [player_tooltip player_id='377456' first='Jackson' last='Landis'] is a returning quarterback who should only improve going forward. A quarterback usually takes a big step as a 2nd year starter. The other big part of Hempfield is Coach Eager and his staff do a great job coaching and developing players. The staff is one of the best in District 3. I expect Hempfield to compete for another Section 1 Title next season.
