He earned honorable mention all-conference honors at OLB but will project more on the defensive front.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Look for Fay to be listed as one of the top d lineman in the region, as he's added some significant size (260) to go with his already impressive frame.

27.[player_tooltip player_id='407256' first='Tau' last='Takau'] 6-2 220 LB Roosevelt

2022 SEASON: As noted Coach McCants has done a phenomenal job with this Roughriders program. Takau projects at the D1 level, earning 2nd team all PIL honors from his d line spot this past season.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Takau comes from an impressive family with his older brother Aisea being a 1st team all PIL D lineman. Look for Tau to project as more of a Strong side backer at the next level.

28.[player_tooltip player_id='406758' first='Kainoa' last='Hayes'] 6-2 250 DE/OLB Central Catholic

2022 SEASON: Hayes had a breakout sophomore season making 38 total tackles, with 6.5 tackles for loss, while earning all-conference accolades on both sides of the football (2nd team D).

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Definitely a kid who has helped himself out at off season camps. Look for Kainoa to be one of the top defenders in Oregon this season and have the Rams in state title contention.

29.[player_tooltip player_id='527043' first='Brody' last='Sahlfeld'] 6-4 245 OL Glencoe

2022 SEASON: Sahlfeld had an outstanding sophomore year, racking up 2nd team all-Pacific honors. He comes from a talented family and has a high ceiling.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Look for Sahlfeld to benefit a great deal from having former Ducks starting O lineman Ian Reynoso as his head coach. If he can put on some additional size and keep that athleticism the sky's the limit.

30.[player_tooltip player_id='412221' first='Tyler' last='Hart-McNally'] 5-10 170 ATH West Albany

2022 SEASON: One of the more versatile kids in Oregon as a sophomore, accounting for 903 total yards on 99 touches with 6 TDs.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Hart-McNally will project as a conference POY candidate and 1st team all-state 5A athlete next season. He will be the primary weapon for the Bulldogs on O, with the graduation of senior RB [player_tooltip player_id='515302' first='Marcus' last='Allen'] and his 15 TDs from last season.

31.[player_tooltip player_id='511864' first='Mark' last='Wiepert'] 6-0 190 WLB Wilsonville

2022 SEASON: The OSU baseball commit is one of the top football players in Oregon for his class and backed that up with an unreal sophomore year on D, making 112 total tackles, with 8 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Even with baseball being a primary focus, Wiepert will project as a conference and state POY candidate on the football field. He's good enough where I could see the Beavers asking if he wanted to be a multi-sport kid.

32.[player_tooltip player_id='287053' first='Trey' last='Kennedy Coleman'] 6-2 275 DL North Medford

2022 SEASON: Kennedy-Coleman quietly had one of the best seasons of any sophomore statewide, making 55 total tackles, with 11 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks. He will be a 1st team all-conference projected lineman next season.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: I can't say enough good things about the D lineman from North. He's young for the grade and if he continues to grow, he has an unlimited ceiling.

33.[player_tooltip player_id='285868' first='Danny' last='Wideman'] 5-9 160 ATH West Linn

2022 SEASON: One of the most exciting athletes in the state of Oregon for his class. Wideman earned 2nd team all TRL honors as a return man this past season and will be a 1st team projected athlete in the years ahead.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: You will see the three-sport athlete be a featured player every Friday night. Get him in space and he's always a threat to house it.

34.[player_tooltip player_id='527045' first='Dominic' last='Macon'] 6-3 295 DL Nelson

2022 SEASON: Macon has impressive size and moves incredibly well for a big man. His honorable mention all-conference honors on the D LINE were well deserved.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Definitely a kid who has impressed over the off season, finishing 7th in the state among heavyweight wrestlers. He will be one of the top interior lineman in Oregon this coming season.

35.[player_tooltip player_id='285869' first='Ryan' last='Holmes'] 6-2 210 OLB West Linn

2022 SEASON: As noted numerous times Holmes comes from an impressive family with D1 genes. Playing time was limited for talented underclassmen such as Holmes, with the Lions state championship roster.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Holmes should play a primary role on both sides of the football and contribute on the offensive front as well.

36.[player_tooltip player_id='286410' first='Drew' last='Baltz'] 6-3 180 WR West Linn

2022 SEASON: Another kid who projects as an all-conference athlete on both sides of the football in the years ahead.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Baltz is a big kid who moves well and looked good playing with Team Lillard. It wouldn't surprise me to see him make a big jump on this list after the coming season.

37.[player_tooltip player_id='285881' first='Lusiano' last='Lopez'] 6-0 220 DT Lake Oswego

2022 SEASON: His 1st team all TRL honors as a sophomore speaks to how talented he is. He's undersized for the position but easily one of the top defenders in Oregon for his class.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Lopez will probably end up moving to more of a strong side backer spot at the next level. That said as he will be a TRL Defensive POY candidate the next two seasons.

38.[player_tooltip player_id='511866' first='Luke' last='Bigsby'] 6-3 270 DL Banks

2022 SEASON: Bigsby upped his stock even while playing 3A football. He has legit size and caused countless problems on the interior for opponents, making 44 total tackles with an impressive 20 tackles for loss.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Typically if you are playing small school ball in Oregon you need to get out on the camp circuit and show what you can do. Same applies here.

39.[player_tooltip player_id='408638' first='Brody' last='Borrevik'] 6-2 220 DE/OLB Marist

2022 SEASON: Borrevik earned 1st team all-conference honors this past season and will project as a 1st team all-state guy in the fall. He comes hard off the edge and will be someone to watch on the camp circuit.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Look for him to dominate the state at the 4A level if he is going to be one of Oregon's top recruits at OLB/DE.

40.[player_tooltip player_id='285867' first='Grant' last='Valley'] 6-1 170 WR Jesuit

2022 SEASON: In limited time the speedster averaged 38 yards per catch, with 3 receptions and 2 TDs as a sophomore. He should be a primary target for 3 year starter [player_tooltip player_id='278372' first='Jacob' last='Hutchinson'] next season.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Definitely one of the fastest kids in the state. Valley killed it as part of EForce 7v7, and could thrive opposite [player_tooltip player_id='152334' first='Jace' last='Burton'] next season for the Crusaders.

41.[player_tooltip player_id='285874' first='Nick' last='Crowley'] 5-10 170 WR Wilsonville-

2022 SEASON: Crowley had a breakout freshman season, catching 23 passes for 294 yards and 3 TDs over the last two years. He has the potential of being a 5A stat leader next season with the graduation of [player_tooltip player_id='271347' first='Cooper' last='Hiday'].

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: The Wildcats will be the #1 ranked 5A team in the state next season and Crowley should thrive in that setting.

42.[player_tooltip player_id='285886' first='JoJo' last='Harrower'] 6-3 190 QB Ashland-

2022 SEASON: I can't say enough good things about Harrower and teammate [player_tooltip player_id='152353' first='Caden' last='Negra']. Both are two of the top ranked players in the state at their position even with the program struggling.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: The Grizzlies will drop down to the 4A level, where they should do well. If the line gives JoJo some time, he will torch secondaries.

43.[player_tooltip player_id='406763' first='Noah' last='Blair'] 6-1 175 QB Thurston

2022 SEASON: Blair had an outstanding sophomore season, hitting on 72% of his passes with 22 TDs/4 INTs. Look for him to be a conference POY favorite the next two years.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Blair is one of Oregon's top multi-sport athletes for his class and has a chance to jump up this list quick.

44.[player_tooltip player_id='407437' first='Tanner' last='Starbuck'] 5-9 160 ATH Stayton-

2022 SEASON: Definitely one of the top 4A players in the state. He had a good year as a sophomore with 56 touches for 360 yards and 5 TDs. More impressive was his play on D, where he made 77 total tackles with 4 INTs, earning 1st team all-conference accolades

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: Starbuck is legit, he's just undersized. Because of that he will need to put together some unreal film to help on the recruiting front.

45.[player_tooltip player_id='285872' first='Truman' last='Brasfield'] 6-2 165 WR Corvallis

2022 SEASON: Brasfield broke out as a freshman and then went for over 1000+ total yards as a sophomore, with 58 receptions, 868 receiving yards, and 6 TDs.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: The Spartans will improve on last year's 0-9 record, as Brasfield could be one of the most talked about athletes at the 5A level. He racked up all conference honors on O, D, and Special Teams in 2022.

46.[player_tooltip player_id='754631' first='Kayce' last='Tinner'] 6-4 195 WR Lakeridge

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: There is still a lot yet to be determined here, but Tinner is a super talented overall athlete (basketball) with size. Look for him to be a contributor on both sides of the ball for the Pacers.

47.[player_tooltip player_id='285873' first='Kellen' last='Hicks'] 6-0 165 ATH Mountainside

2022 SEASON: Hicks had an impressive sophomore season, picking off multiple passes for TDs. Look for him to be one of the top offensive threats in the Metro League over the next two years as well.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: The Mavericks are a top 10 team and one of the fastest rising programs in the state. They will need Hicks to play well if they are going to match last season's 10-2 record.

48.[player_tooltip player_id='754594' first='Jack' last='Foley'] 6-4 175 WR Mt View

2022 SEASON: Foley has impressive size and had a good sophomore year, catching 19 passes for 238 yards and 3 TDs. Coach Crum has coached some good ones over the years, and he could be another one.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: It's not always easy getting recruited out in Central Oregon but Foley has the potential to be the real deal. We will find out next season as he could climb this list quick.

49.[player_tooltip player_id='406768' first='Ben' last='Schneider'] 6-0 180 QB Oregon City

2022 SEASON: Schneider brings a lot to the table and probably doesn't get enough credit. He hit on 62% of his passes with 13 TDs/4 INTs as a sophomore, in the state's toughest conference.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: OC is a potential top 10 team, but there have been some significant changes over the off season, including head coach Shane Hedrick leaving for 4A Cascade. We will see how this plays out.

50.[player_tooltip player_id='407255' first='Brigham' last='Davis'] 5-10 160 DB/ATH Lakeridge

2022 SEASON: Before the year Davis was projected to be one of the top sophomores in the TRL but missed the entire season with a brutal injury.

2023 OFFSEASON UPDATE: If he can come back healthy, he's the exception to the rule from a size standpoint.
