There’s a ton of talent in the state of Oregon that helps fuel the success of P5 programs up and down the west coast of the country. Here’s a look at five prospects in the class of 2027 from The Beaver State, that play ball at a high level.
– Defensive MVP of the Oregon All-State Game last year as a seventh-grader
– Strong, athletic prospect that can play many skills positions (on both sides of the ball) but looks like an athletic linebacker long term
– Attended Parish Middle School and will be off to North Salem High School in the fall
– A future Offensive Tackle that looks like he should be getting some looks by some major programs in the future
– Don’t have a verified size on him, but he appears to have great size and length, with a frame to boot
– Needs to work on keeping his pad level low and overall strength, but he’ll be a good one at Santiam Christian High School
– Big, pretty athletic quarterback standing in the 6-foot-2, 6-foot-3 range and weighing in the neighborhood of 185 pounds
– Tall and strong righty that does a good job keeping his eye locked downfield, allowing his weapons to get open
– Four-sport athlete while at South Middle School who is equally as impressive on the basketball court
Highlights
– The Line MVP in last year’s Oregon All-State Game as a seventh-grader, but has stretched out more and is starting to look more like an Edge or athletic Middle Linebacker
– Realistically could play him at any impact position on the field and he’ll find a way to make a significant play
– Was at Mt. Tabor Middle School for middle school and will be off to Lakeridge High School this fall
Highlights
– Big fan of what I see on film from him in terms of speed and quickness off the snap as a Wide Receiver. Rarely comes off the line with a false step and makes a beeline for the defensive back’s toes
– Makes difficult catches look mundane and provides a catch radius significantly bigger than one would think with his 5-foot-8 frame
– Can play defensive back as well–has shined during 7on7, but think wide receiver is the future for him. He’ll be at Rex Putnam High school in the fall
