It was a tough 2022 season for the Olympians going 3-8 overall including 3-6 in conference play. The Olympians despite going 3-8 actually scored more points than they allowed this season, scoring 306 points this season while allowing 302 points.
Despite their record, the Olympians were a formidable opponent this season. They had multiple close losses including Blue Mountain, Notre Dame-Green Pond, Northern Lehigh, and Lehighjton. In their wins, however, they were dominant. 48-12 over Salisbury Township, 66-14 over Pine Grove, and 42-6 over Tamaqua.

2023 Season Outlook
The good news for Jim Thorpe heading into this season is that they will return most of their talent from last season headlined by running back Salvatore Capria Salvatore Capria 5'7" | 180 lbs | RB Jim Thorpe | 2024 State PA and defensive tackle Noah Rosahac Noah Rosahac 6'5" | 270 lbs | OL Jim Thorpe | 2024 State PA , a Syracuse commitment. WR Justin Yesscavage is one of the more underrated wide receivers in the state as well. For the Olympians, this upcoming season will e about closing the gap against teams like Bangor, North Schuylkill, Palmerton, and Notre Dame-Green Pond among others. There’s plenty of talent for the Olympians and Rosenberger is one of the best coaches in the state with a long track record of success. I have no doubts he’ll have that program back on the right track in the near future.
