The first event I ever covered as a writer/analyst was a Mississippi Heat 7v7 evaluation day. Some of the best talent in the nation was there. It was a day to remember for me. They still have a team full of talent. Let's check it out.

[player_tooltip player_id='350918' first='Deuce' last='Knight'], QB, George Co, 2025

Knight is one of the highest ranked players for the 2025 class. This QB delivers the ball with precision. He is a beast at throwing the jump ball. Knight makes it easy for his receivers. He knows how to put the football where it needs to be in order for his team to make plays. Knight also is set for a trip to Notre Dame soon. He is a highly recruited prospect who is going to be a power five player. Knight will only continue to raise his stock this summer.

Kenzy West, WR, Hartfield Academy, 2025

West stands out for the Mississippi Heat squad. He is a polished route runner and electric player. West gets off the line with a good release. He has very good hands that lock on to the football. West does not back down from good tough competition. He is a player that is going to compete every time he steps on the field. It is only a matter of time before he sees his recruiting process start picking up.

Denym Mitchell, CB, Madison Central, 2024

Mitchell is a cornerback that we all need to know. He is good at quite a few things. Mitchell can be a guy that does well when playing press coverage. Mitchell has a few offensive skills in his back pocket. That helps him be a very productive player on defense. Mitchell has good hands and good speed. When he catches an interception he is a threat to take it back to the house. He is going to be a good fit on this Mississippi Heat defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='910429' first='Nehemiah' last='Taylor'], ATH, Oak Grove, 2024

Taylor is a straight up dog on defense. Playing 7v7 is going to polish his cover skills. He is a guy with great speed. He can be efficient on offense as well. Taylor does a great job of pressing receivers at the line. He makes it hard for the timing to be down pat. I think that this MS Heat experience is going to help him raise his stock. There won't be many guys giving him the blues at the line when he has a press coverage assignment.
