One of the state’s best wide receivers will be headed to the SEC to play his college football. Bishop McDevitt’s Rico Scott Rico Scott 6’0″ | 185 lbs | WR Bishop McDevitt | 2024 State PA committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide on Sunday morning. Scott is our second ranked wide receiver only behind Oregon commitment Tyseer Denmark Tyseer Denmark 5’11” | 180 lbs | WR Imhotep Charter | 2024 State PA and our 10th best player overall. The Crimson Tide are getting a dynamic playmaker in Scott and he’s headed to one of the best wide receiver factories in all of college football.
Barksdale also picked up his first FBS offer in his recruitment, also from UNLV. Our own Vic Castillo Vic Castillo RB PA said this about Barksdale last month…
“Testing numbers in camp settings are a huge indicator of whether or not a prospect is a real candidate for early interest in the form of offers. This is known. What’s not known is how well Da’Ron Barksdale Da’Ron Barksdale 5’10” | 175 lbs | ATH Steel Valley | 2026 State PA performs in a combine setting. If you were to ask me, the young man has an incredible physique for his age, one that should serve him well in all areas outside of the 40. Predicting 40 times are always tricky, Barksdale will need to prove his speed in front of FBS coaches this summer. His tape and athleticism can’t be ignored, however.”
Trubiano has seen his recruitment take an uptick this offseason and recently made visits to Lehigh and Lafayette. Legitimate FCS prospect who could end up at either wide receiver or tight end at the next level.
