Who are they?
Let’s take a look…
Nick Brooks Nick Brooks 6'8" | 330 lbs | OL Buford | 2025 GA – Buford
As big an offensive tackle as you’ll find across the country in the 2025 class, the former St. Francis tackle who will play for the mighty Buford Wolves in 2023 continues to see his stock rise on the recruiting trail. The giant 6-foot- 33-pound offensive tackle started the month of March with a bang, reeling in major offers from Texas, Miami, Michigan, and Mississippi State on the first day of the month. After a recent visit to Knoxville, Tennessee, Brooks earned a new offer this week from the fast-rising Tennessee Volunteers. Brooks certainly doesn’t look his age and already looks like a big D1-caliber lineman. He can swallow up smaller defenders in the run game and continues to improve as a pass-protector. He still needs to slim down a little, but it’s easy to see the raw potential and strength that he brings to the table. Look for Brooks to be one of the top 2025 OL prospects in Georgia when the final rankings are released down the road. His size, strength, and potential make him a very intriguing prospect, and he’ll only get better playing at a powerhouse like Buford.
Josh Petty – Fellowship Christian
A new prospect in Fulton County to know about from Fellowship Christian School, Petty is a long, lean offensive tackle who moves extremely well for his size. He has an excellent frame at 6-foot-5 250-pounds who will continue to fill out and put on solid weight and muscle over thee next several years. He physically dominated opposing defenders just about every Friday night last fall as a sophomore, putting his opponent on their back on a consistent basis. His length allows him to latch on to defenders, and his lower body strength gives him the ability to drive them backwards and fully eliminate them from the play. He’s tough, finishes his blocks, and plays until the whistle. His promising frame stands out to college coaches, and his sophomore film is outstanding. After earning a new offer recently from Auburn, the Roswell native now holds offers from the Tigers, South Carolina, Duke, Virginia Tech, among others. He has a very high ceiling and should see his recruitment, and ranking, improve more and more over time.
Jatorian Blackmon – Troup County
A fast-rising offensive lineman out of West Georgia in Troup County, Blackmon is a promising left tackle with plenty of raw power and the ability to open up big holes in the run game. He’s big, wide, and has a thick 6-foot-4 315-pound frame that allows him to physically dominate his opponents on a regular basis. He’s so big and strong for his age and is coming off a very impressive sophomore campaign for the Tigers in 2022. He fires off the ball in the run game while showing goof feet for his size and and the ability to play in space. He was easy to notice last year and showed easy D1 potential. A pancake machine, he’ll likely hold down the left side of the Troup County offensive line in impressive fashion once again in 2023. He might be flying under the radar this second, but it won’t be long before college programs start to notice. His best football is still aheads of him, and with another big season as a junior, Blackmon could start to see some heavy D1 interest and possible offers come his way down the road.
Tavaris Dice – Langston Hughes
A big, powerful lineman out of Atlanta, Dice was an absolute bully last season for Tri-Cities. He’s big and physical at 6-foot-5 280-pounds with room to keep adding weight. He’s quick off the line and can bury defenders into the ground. He’s physical at the point of attack and can push his defender into next week. He shows plenty of raw power and does a great job of getting his feet set and blowing defenders off the ball. He’ll play at Langston Hughes next fall, giving the Panthers another promising lineman who still hasn’t reached the surface of his potential. He has a lean frame, plays with good balance, and shows impressive footwork. He’s fundamentally sound and has really seen his stock rise on the recruiting trail. He’s seeing more major offers come his way, and the Atlanta native has recently earned a new offer from the Florida Gators.
