Continue ReadingFox shows impressive toughness and physicality, working hard to line up defenders in space. A reliable pair of hands who was one of the focal points of his team’s passing attack. Pays attention to the details when running routes. Has the quickness to release at the line against press when working from the slot or split out wide. Nice footwork and hip sink at the stem. Dips his shoulder to avoid disruption when moving past defenders in zone. Stays on track through contact when running routes. Able to use his frame to shield defenders from the ball. Aggressive at the catch point to go up and get passes, with impressive body control for his size.
Atkinson is a highly athletic edge who plays with a strong motor from snap to snap; brings explosiveness and urgency to the defense. Active with his hands to work his way through traffic. Plays with discipline, remembering his responsibilities in the team’s run fits. Able to chase down opponents from the backside. A pretty dangerous pass-rusher who regularly varies his approach. Gets good extension with his arms and shows solid leg drive after contact, allowing him to convert speed to power better than anticipated.
Myles Woods
Myles Woods
Woods overall technique and feel of the game are in line with expectations. Often lined up in press-man looks, showing the ability to use his length and physicality to disrupt opponents at the line; typically played on the short side of the field. Leverages his length to pin defenders to the boundary when working on the short side of the field. Gets good depth and stays over the top when shuffling or playing zone. Experienced player who has the route recognition/anticipation skills you’d expect. Uses his hands to feel routes developing and stay connected through the stem. Reaction times are solid and doesn’t have that much wasted motion to his transitions.
Joshua Threat
Joshua Threat
Threat plays the game with the physicality and toughness teams look for in offensive linemen; capitalizes on opportunities to finish opponents. Fires out low and with some explosiveness and can overwhelm opposing defenders at the point of attack. Able to attack the outside shoulder and collapse run fits. Keeps his feet going after contact and works through the whistle. Grip strength to sustain is very good. Works hard to pull/climb and engage opponents; has the straight-line speed to engage at the second level.
Josiah Victor
Josiah Victor
Victor plays the game with a high level of physicality and intensity. Anticipates the snap count and fires out low with explosiveness. Has enough quickness out of his stance to get through gaps and create disruption in the backfield. Has instincts/recognition skills beyond his years and seemingly always flows quickly toward the play once the ball is snapped. Contact balance is excellent; never looks too out of control. Usually gets very good extension to lock out blockers and locate the football. Has heavy hands to ragdoll opponents at the right moment but can also win with quickness.
