Drew Pfeifer
Drew Pfeifer earned 1st team all division in 2022 starring for Montclair. The 6’2″ soon to be senior has great size for the next level. While Montclair’s season didn’t go as planned in 2022, Drew still was able to compete at an elite level. Drew can really toss the rock. Not only when he’s situated in the pocket, but when he is on the move you will find him throw some dimes to his receivers.
There are great examples in his highlights of how powerful his arm strength really is. As a runner, Drew has some Tim Tebow Gator characteristics to his play. It’s a bad idea to run man to man against him, because he will notice it immediately and take off with it. And when he breaks loose, he can shed a tackler and sprint on to the end zone.
Stevenson Memo
Stevenson Memo
Stevenson Memo for Columbia is a stud athlete. Earning 1st team all division as an athlete, he really shined on the defensive side of the ball as a safety. A straight up ball hawk, Stevenson caused multiple turnovers in 2022 by jumping a route for the interception or delivering the heavy hit to shake the ball from the ball carrier’s hands.
When it comes to the run, you can be sure he’s darting downfield to prevent the runner from getting to the outside. Stevenson has all of the characteristics you’d want in a safety. He reminds me a lot of Ed Reed, capable of monitoring the entire field, and using his size and strength to its fullest.
CJ Pittman
CJ Pittman
CJ Pittman is an exciting QB to keep an eye on in 2023. Leading Irvington to an 8-3 record before falling in the semifinals, CJ really impressed those he played against. Earning 2nd team all division, CJ has some of the best technique I’ve watched thus far in NJ. With a powerful arm, he is able to follow through with his hips to really put some power behind the ball. Quick feet that allows him to shuffle around the pocket, CJ can take off for the run when needed as well. There is a lot to get excited for in 2023 For CJ and Irvington.
Elijah Rose
Elijah Rose
A scary player to go up against, Elijah Rose is another one of the those dominant defensive backs from Union City. Earning 1st team defense, this man can do it all from the safety position. With the ability to jump the route, he has quick feet that allows him to change direction in a moments time. And when it comes to bringing the rush, Elijah blitzes with ferocity. If he’s blitzing, there’s a pretty good chance the play will come to an end pretty quickly. Tallying up 54 total tackles, 1 interception, and a sack to go with it, Union City is one of those must watch teams in New Jersey in 2023.
David Thom-Rogers David Thom-Rogers 6’3″ | 170 lbs | WR Montclair | 2024 State NJ earned 2nd all division for his play on offense in 2022. Playing mostly as a receiver for Montclair, David has great size (6’3″) and athleticism. He is a smooth route runner, with enough speed to outrun defenders man to man. And when reeling in the catch, David displays great concentration when catching the ball over the shoulder. David is a true D1 talent. 2023 has to be much more successful than the prior year for Montclair, with the deadly combination of Drew Pfeifer and David Thom-Rogers David Thom-Rogers 6’3″ | 170 lbs | WR Montclair | 2024 State NJ .
