Jay Acosta -QB- Taft High School, Taft, Texas. – 6’2”, 198 lbs., – “JJ” Acosta is a talented young quarterback out of Taft High School. JJ is a dual threat quarterback with great pocket presence, and an arm that can make every throw. He has very active feet in the pocket, a very quick release, and delivers the football with great accuracy. He keeps his eyes downfield when he scrambles, and finds his open receivers. Acosta is coming into his 3rd year as the Starting QB at Taft High School. As a junior, he threw for 4,269 yds. and 40 TDs with 71% completions. That is almost two times more than his sophomore season (2,369 passing yds., 23 TDs). JJ is also an effective runner, accumulating 1,543 yds. from scrimmage on the ground (4.5 sec – 40 yd. dash). He can beat you with his feet off of the scramble, as well as designed QB runs. Acosta will be a Very Solid College QB. I have projected him to be a High-End FCS level football player, but definitely has the tools needed to compete at the FBS level. Ranking: 4 Star Athlete.

Paul Mencke Jr -SS – Samuel Clemens – Schertz, Texas – 6’2″ 185 lbs. Paul Mencke is a 6’2” long limbed defensive back / safety in the San Antonio area that has completely exploded this offseason. He has the physical stature of a division 1 football player. He plays on both sides of the ball at Samuel Clemens, as a wide receiver, and strong safety. Great top end speed helps his offense take the top off of defenses. Defensively, he does not let anyone get behind him. Great ball skills as a DB. One calendar year ago, he had no offers. He has recently picked up multiple Power 5 offers including Washington, Stanford, Missouri. Paul is going to be a standout at the next level. Ranking: 4 Star Athlete.

Jeremy Payne Jeremy Payne 5'10" | 170 lbs | RB Fort Bend Hightower | 2024 State TX -RB- Hightower High School – 5’10” 170 lbs. – Houston, Texas – Jeremy is a very strong running back from Hightower High School. He hits the hole fast and does not go down easily with arm tackles. Once he is in open space, he has the speed to separate himself from defenders. He has rushed for back to back thousand yard seasons as a sophomore and junior. He is also a dangerous threat as a receiver out of the backfield with very soft hands and elusiveness to get away from defenders. Jeremy is also a talented return man with the ability to take it to the house any time he gets his hands on the football. Jeremy has FBS Offers, but will definitely continue to be recruited heavily, as he is a very talented football player in the 2024 class. Ranking: 4 Star Athlete.

Dean Ford -LB- Morton Ranch High School – Katy, Texas. – 6’0″ 210 lbs. Dean Ford is a name that will continue to grow in the Texas Recruiting conversations. Dean is a very physical linebacker from Katy, Texas. He is quick to trigger and fill gaps in the run game, and meets runners with violent tackles. Dean refuses to be blocked as he runs through blockers on his way to the ball. Dean has the ability to play sideline to sideline from the Middle Linebacker position, and is the clear defensive leader at Morton Ranch. Dean recorded 95 tackles & 13 TFL as a junior, and is looking for a strong senior season. Ford has received offers from Air Force, Army, Mississippi Valley State, and Sam Houston. I am confident that his recruiting process will continue to grow as his name gets out. Ranking: 3 Star Athlete.

Cannon Lenberg -WR- Gunter High School – Gunter, Texas – 6’0″ 175 lbs. – Cannon is an All-State Wide Receiver from Gunter High School. He has great footwork and route running skills that allow him to create separation from defenders. He also has incredible hands, and catches anything that is close to him. He is only 6 foot tall, but he plays a lot bigger than his stature. Give this kid an opportunity to play and he will surprise you with his athleticism. Cannon also comes from a powerhouse program in Gunter. He knows how to win, and how to work for it. Cannon will be a December graduate, and have the ability to join his future team in the offseason to prepare for his freshman season. Currently only has two offers from Sam Houston State and Marshall, but he will continue to gain offers. Ranking: 3 Star Athlete.
