There is truly something for every level of competition. It is a deep group of soon to be seniors. The trenches and defense is filled with seniors. It is going to make this team a tough beat, and they should be playing deep into November. Let’s check out the top seniors to know!
In a loaded Class of 2024 the 6’3” 230 lbs OLB has locked himself inside the Top 10 overall players. No question, the long, athletic OLB is an FBS level talent and he has the offers to prove it. His highlight reel shows a player with a special combination of traits for playing on the edge and out in space. Out in space, Landon has quick read and recognition skills. His quick twitch and range allow him to capitalize on what he reads. He can slide and change direction allowing him to cover in zone or man coverage. Off the edge, Gauthier has that first step burst to instantly fly past OTs. He has the bend and flexibility to dip underneath linemen. He seems to accelerate all the way to the QB. Landon has also been putting on weight this offseason, so he is going to be even more of a force when setting the edge against the run. He is a must know prospect in Wisconsin.
Highlights
Tevyn is an intriguing prospect to scout. The 5’10” 220 lbs junior is a big impact player for Bay Port. The two way athlete has the talent to play either side at the next level. On offense, Tevyn is a power runner. He runs behind his pads, has the balance to run through or bounce off hits, and his lower body continues to churn until he is drug down. Tevyn also offers pass catching abilities out of the backfield. On defense, Tevyn is a downhill thumper from the ILB position. He roams the box with aggression. Montgomery runs through blocks and owns the box from tackle to tackle. He also reads the flow of the linemen and moves with it while also closing on the ball. I’m excited to see where his first offer comes from.
Blake Buchinger
Blake Buchinger
Blake returns for his senior season after spending 2022 as the go to guy in the RB group. The 5’9″ 165 lbs RB has plenty of next level traits. His instincts and vision are next level. He reads his blocks, finds running lanes, and can make defenders miss with his agility out in the open field. His acceleration is impressive too. He bursts out of his cuts and jukes. It seems like he is at top speed within a step of every cut. Blake isn’t just a quick athlete either. He has the long speed to take it the distance once he hits that green grass. Teams looking for an elusive runner need to look here.
Carter Kallies
Carter Kallies
Carter is going to be counted on to be a big piece of the passing and running game. He was the second leading receiver in 2022 and the 4th leading rusher. The 5’10” 170 lbs WR is put into positions where he can utilize his speed to create mismatches all over the field. Just get him the ball out in space and let him work. Kallies has the acceleration to burst to top speed instantly. He sees the whole field so well. Whether finding blocks in the run game or screen pass game or finding cut back lanes down the field. He also has the body control to be a solid route runner. I’m expecting a big year for Carter.
Charles Lawson Charles Lawson 6'4" | 260 lbs | OL Bay Port | 2024 State WI
Charles Lawson Charles Lawson 6'4" | 260 lbs | OL Bay Port | 2024 State WI
The 6’3″ 250 lbs guard is a prospect who is going to be in position to take a jump in development. He has an athletic frame to continue to build upon. Lawson’s film shows a lot of plays of him working double teams that put the level one defender 5 yards off the ball. Lawson is a quick lineman who is able to close on his opponents quickly. He is light on his feet and that has allowed him to stay square on his man or pick up the second level defender. I’m excited to see if his strength can take a jump forward this season. If it does he will become an even more impressive prospect.
Isaac Powell Isaac Powell 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR Bay Port | 2024 WI

An athlete who could be a varsity breakout player this fall is Isaac Powell Isaac Powell 6’3″ | 170 lbs | WR Bay Port | 2024 WI . The 6’3″ 170 lbs WR had his speed utilized a lot on jet sweeps. He was able to stretch the defense horizontally, and that opened up lanes for him to cut through. That speed was also used to stretch the field vertically on deep shots. That speed will translate to the varsity level. Bay Port will need to find some new impact players out wide. I’m excited to see if Isaac can earn a spot.
Lucas is a 5’11” 160 lbs long snapper that I will be following this season. His junior tape shows that he is a consistent and accurate snapper. I want to see the velocity continue to climb this season, and if it does he could be a next level long snapper.
