2024: Clutch Quarterbacks

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When a game is close late, you can always count on these four players to come up clutch for their teams.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='406982' first='Jack' last='Johnson'] || QB || 6'0 || 195 || Brighton High School || 2024</strong><br>Johnson is a truly talented thrower of the football. His arm strength is exceptional, and with the flick of his wrist, he can deliver accurate throws over 30 yards. Johnson makes off-platform throws look easy, and he does a good job buying his receivers time to get open downfield. He's a good athlete who has excellent pocket awareness. Johnson has one of the state's quickest releases and is willing to stand tall in the pocket to make a play for his team, even if he knows he's about to get leveled. He throws a great ball and decimates defenses with elite downfield accuracy.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='532703' first='Jake' last='Hopkins'] || QB || 6'1 || 195 || Syracuse High School || 2024</strong><br>Hopkins was outstanding for the Titans in 2022. He completed nearly 200 passes and tossed 14 touchdowns. Hopkins can make throws on the move and did a great job putting the Titans offense in position to succeed. He can make accurate throws at each level of the field and does a good job distributing the ball to his playmakers. Hopkins does not get locked onto one read and knows where his hot routes are if he's blitzed. In addition to his repetitive accuracy, Hopkins does a great job protecting the ball. He does a great job targeting his receivers on the sideline, and he makes sure he places it where only his intended target will have a chance at it.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='681222' first='Lance' last='Reynolds'] || QB || 6'2 || 185 || Orem High School || 2024</strong><br>Reynold's is one of the state's best quarterbacks at operating when things break down. He does a great job escaping pressure, even when it seems like defensive linemen have him trapped. When Reynolds escapes the pocket, he does a good job keeping his eyes downfield, waiting for one of his receivers to break open. His accuracy when attempting off-platform throws is exceptional, as is his delivery on deep passes. In addition, Reynolds displays good footwork in the pocket, and he can pump fake and reset his feet before hitting his intended target in stride.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='681233' first='Lincoln' last='Jackson'] || QB || 6'1 || 180 || Park City High School || 2024 </strong><br>Jackson decimated defenses with exceptional ball placement and quickly diagnosed what a defense is throwing at him. He isn't afraid to get hit and will stay in the pocket, even if it means he will get smoked by a defensive lineman. Jackson throws a tremendous deep ball and can hit his receivers in stride to maximize yards after the catch. He does an excellent job of recognizing when his teammates have a mismatch on the outside and will place the ball where only they can haul it in. Jackson has a powerful arm and should lead the Miners to another strong campaign in 2023.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
